  • 1 deaf person dislikes this song awsome tune

  • 1 deaf person dislikes this song

  • well...there's too many crappy bands out there who don't know how to make music...yes yes, they can put chords together and make a song...but a SONG is not necessarily MUSIC. Cheers and break out your threory 101 books, then, after about 20 years you might be in the same continent of playing ability as this here learned and accomplished Mr. Morse. Cheers mr. Morse, and DP

  • The best thing about Steve Morse is he's not a sloppy improviser like Ritchie Blackmore, he's a true TECHNICAL improvisor! Learn your theory, THEN pick up the guitar, THEN learn more theory and practice it, THEN learn and practice...you DON'T become a phenomenal guitarist by just playing, you have to learn how and why you do things....KNOWING is always going to produce a better guitarist than PLAYING without knowledge...ignorance to theory makes you bands like...

  • @bstensland Without Blackmore there would be no harmonic minor scales, sweep picking, etc. in rock music. Technical "guitar-heroes" like Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmstreen, Steve Vai or Steve Morse call Blackmore a main influence.

But Blackmore doesn't play mainly with technique but he uses a lot of feeling and intuition. I think guitarists who play this way like Blackmore, Page, Santana, Knopfler, Clapton, etc. are the better ones but thats just my opinion...

  • purpendicular.....good bunch of songs......

  • Fucking best song on earth

  • nice!

  • Animal!!!

  • musica maravilhosa tinhade ser meu sosia cantando e na aparencia

  • PERFECT SOLO!!

    THIS IS MY BOY

  • i remember the first time i heard this songi was sitting alone after i got the news that i failed my sat, my best friend has gone to germany,i swear i was about to cry, great band ,great music, deep purple FOREVER

  • by the way,the best friend, she was a girl that a had a secret crush on,

  • the is just awsome!

    All the solo's r perfect!

I listen to this all the time while working! :)

  • Wow, Steve Morse impressed me again.. Incredible solo, feeling and style. He's so relaxed while he's playing. It's unbelievable. He's one of my favourite players.

  • STEVE MORSE \m/

  • hmmm, not the way i read it, maybe you should go over what you wrote...lol

  • ??? what do you mean rogers bass solo just for the money....go amway, this dvd is woth every penny! not just for rogers bass solo.

  • All of you talk about playing like that as something normal - well....it`s not that hard... years of playing, hundreds of shows, endless hours of practising, learning harmony, improvising, composing, and of course -being genious ;-)

  • This Is The Type Of Stuff That Made Me Pick Up The Guitar! Its The Feeling That Steve Puts In His Songs!

  • man how does he always land on the perfect note when improvising?

I have the technique, but I don't know how to do this :(

  • what do you mean?? the tapping?

  • Part of the magic of this solo is the underlying structure of the song. At the end it takes the same chord progression and changes key four times.

  • So Steve M. can work through the changes with really beautiful effect. Notice how he's using his right index finger to play the octave harmonic of the note he's fingering with his left. This solo is a benchmark of combining technique with tasteful expression. Learning this is like learning Claptons "Crossroads" solos, it's going to change your way of thinking about improvisation. Bravo Steve and Bravo Deep Purple :)

  • nah, I mean he always lands on the note of the background chord or a harmony to it instead of the root note in every phrase . I can't just follow chords when soloing

  • ah that yeah I thnk its practicing with the cords I mean you can like play a cord then phrase it or play a cord different way I think its a matter of practice

  • scales and lots of songs in your repertory thats the secret ! amzing isn't he !! he's my hero

  • yep he's amazing, I should've asked him about following chords when improvising when i was talking to him at a clinic

  • i don't have software to do DVD ---> DivX!

Where i can get some software, for free please =)
