i love to see health and safety conscious people on you tube , i think the flip flops and shorts are a little over kill for working with a saw , id have gone barefoot and speedos my self :o)
Now that's when they made real saws ! Not the high revving plastic crap they make today ! In the day a saw actually had some lugging power and torque. Now it's just gutless high r.p.m. toys . Don't want someone straining themselves by using a saw that weighs more than 8 pounds you know.
Been cutting 18-20in. fall with my Stihl S-10 in Montana. My mom bought it in "74" and will out cut anything on the market today..These are awesome saws..... Know your saw....B safe out there.
Those are fine old saws. They run forever, and are nearly bomb proof. Hey, I see you're not into steel toes or bucking pants? Reminds me of footage I saw on TV from South America. This dude was falling this huge tree in the jungle with an 090. Dressed much like you! No undercut, either, on a 6 foot trunk. Just sawed diagonally, and made a big barber chair. Mostly 08's and 070/090's down there.

or av
LewisYounger16 2 years ago
An 08 doesn't need AV, they don't really vibrate unless you sharpen the chain wrong. They're a really nice saw to run.

Yeah, chain brakes are for sissies!
