I used to use ceder logs for one, then u switched to metal pipe, cheap and works as well as any on the market to hold a 55 gallon drum.

Several folks have been skeptical about our inexpensive tripod. We've used them for years and have never had one break or blow over. Heck, try it. If it doesn't work for you just go out and spend about $100 for something else. Happy hunting.
