i am actually from austalia so won't pretend to know the ins and outs of your political system, but i agree, and i think that worldwide - government is trumpeting the 'efficiency' of having a centralised government, but in reality all it does is create a blindless to issues on a local level and hand out blanket solutions that are drafted and passed all without so much as a glance at the community it affects. we need more localisation of pretty much everything....
