agreed... it's out of hand... jits running up and down the street singing and rapping about things a person of their age shouldn't be privy to... i'm no celebrity... i understand its a job but every job in my opinion requires a certain amount of responsibility... if i was a celebrity in other words i'd hope to embody and reflect the qualities that define one as an honest and intelligent black male... one a parent wouldn't mind modeling their child after... take pride in your craft...
@MsMichelle103 keep up > part of a JOB is promotion, publicity is promotion, it can be both good or bad and WILL affect your sales, sales WILL affect your job > example - would YOU by shoes that had the reputation of falling apart (bad publicity)? hope not but if u do its ur money. if the shoes don't sell there's no profit, no profit = no business, no business = no job. a CELEBRITY'S LIFE can affect their sales > Chris Brown<great singer (battery), Jeffrey Jones<excellent actor (sex offender)
@MsMichelle103 removed the "u" from buy since i ran out of characters trying to make a point hoping you might be able to wrap your juvenile mind around the concept of a job/career. needless to say im speaking semantically < look it up if you don't know what it means. so being a celebrity's not a job?! lol ok then how do you explain what happened to Michael Jackson's career?! is that not a repercussion of bad publicity?! would you buy a Chris Brown CD if he was out fucking kids?! didn't think so
Parents wants to blame everyone else for how their kids turn out. The whole "Role Model" thing was actually created by a bored lil' o housewife with nothing better to do but to lazy to discipline her children.
I couldn't agree more...our society is getting way too sensitive at times but yet hold celebrities to a higher standard which is not fair. Charles Barkley years ago was saying the same thing but people missed his point and thought he was giving people a license to act a fool when all he was really saying was parents should be more involved in their childrens lives which is true now more than ever
