How much horsepower to the wheels do you think I'll be getting: 1990 EF Hatch, stock USDM B18C1 swap, B17 tranny, CXRacing B-series turbo kit, RC 550cc injectors, and a Walbro 255 fuel pump? I want to be around 300whp, but I only want to run 8-10 psi tops, due to this being my daily driver. How well do you think this setup will be? I'll upgrade later, but this is only what I can afford right now.

did you port ans polished the ports and combustion chamber on the heads that will help more too then sleeved the walls with iron ducten sleeves my friend did it to his he put 655 hp the tQ. i dont remember
Hey thanks a lot for the comment. The wheels are rota rb's 13", the slicks are Race Masters 22". Rear wheels and tires are your typical slipstreams. I don't rem the torque off the top of my head (think 280), but I will be boosting more and retuning again. I always make adjustments in driving after every pass, shifting faster, reacting differently, adjusting lanuch. Thanks again for watching.
Thanks. I got it tuned at 12 psi and made 330whp on a stock gsr motor. After the tune, I turned the boost down to 6psi and made around 280-290. I actually hit a 12.1 recently at the track with the 6psi.

I spent about 3500 for the turbo kit, brand new parts (didnt know much at the time). My suggestion is to buy a used turbo kit (craigslist) and buy a brand new snail. The reason being is because all the piping and couplers dont really go bad (you can eyeball it, if theres no holes/punctures it should work fine), only the snail itself can go bad as it sucks up shit and doesnt spool smoothly/efficiently. This would be my suggestion for a budget build.
Also, be sure you know what type of turbo manifold you want. The longer the runners (length of the turbo manifold piping to the snail) are, the later it spools. The shorter is it, the earlier it spools. For example, my boy runs a full race manifold (top mount), his turbo spools at 5,500 rpm cuz the length of the runners. And a short length manifold like a log manifold, would spool much earlier, say 3000 rpm. Your choice, hope this helps.
Thanks man. No, I didnt plumb the wastegate into the down pipe. I just have a dump tube shooting towards the ground. If you are worried about it being loud...it's not loud at all. My boy didnt even run a dump tube, just open wastegate..just make sure it is discharged/pointed somewhere safe (since it is exhaust gas= hot and dirty). LMK if you have anymore questions.
@dpnproductions Yah, I've had quite a few turbo motors, with the Gsr I would rather hear Vtec engage then the waste gate open,or does it make a difference?..which would sound better? I haven't heard a internal vs external, I don't wanna count a turbo that has an internal waste gate as a comparison, cause I'm sure it sounds different, "way smaller discharge hole". Lemme know what you think.I had owned a TSI talon pushin 10psi didn't like the external sound then @ 30psi the wast gate never opend
@Stylnjj84 Oh i see what youre tyring to say. The sound of the turbo spooling will still be loud (especially if you have an air filter on the cool side), and make it hard to distinguish btw the turbo and vtech. So in my opinion, it wouldnt make a diff. But if you concentrate and try to distinguish the sound then yeah it would make a diff...but for the most part...normal ears cant tell anyway. Mine is just a stock black, im excited to see your numbers..plus your setup should last longer.
We just did a jdm gsr swap in 95 civic ex with greddy 18g turbo kit...had some map sensor issues, fix that, than blew the head gasket..should of got arp head studs, but your video gives me hope.
