i just had a bad fuckin day, everything that could go wrong went wrong but watching this got me feeling so good about my self, i'm about to start waving at people with a weird ass smile on my face LMFAO
It's at the end of Superman 2, not the new Richard Donner one I think. I could be wrong, but I do remember this. As I was watching, I was wondering, "what's new about this?" Nothing to me because I've seen it a million times on t.v., vhs, and now dvd and blue ray.
@glenh75 it's more & better. in his other endings you see him smiling. this restored version he smiles & raises his right arm & then the left. i'm glad i've gotten a chance to have met him & gotten his autograph. a true gentlemen.***i still miss him.
@SpiderBoy992 yes, as i've mentioned. i got his autograph in 1983. as a matter of fact. i've seen him many times before when he was doing broadway stage. i always said hello to him. i still miss Reeve.****
@glenh75 i'm sure all these ending flying scenes are stocked footage from SUPERMAN - THE MOVIE. this was nice because he used two hands to fly away. ****
@romeonarcizo it's never been released with any of the movies. I made this by combining the footage of the Superman II ending and the clip at the end is from a 1970's Superman documentary. If you have the Ultimate Superman Collection, it's disc 4 I believe.
I don't know if I remember correctly from about 20 years ago. I remember watching the TV version of Superman II and thought just after the flyby, they showed him flying off and disappearing into space before the credits appeared. Did they film such a scene?
No the other one was the original, this was just a deleated scene. i think they filmed several versions, andn they liked the one you see in the movie the best. I know this becasue they use a slightly different one in superman and superman II and III. they reused the one from teh first one in superman IV if im not mistaken...
I Beleve it might have been on one or two of the differnet A.B.C. extended television version's of Superman II in the 80's. So No, I don't think you've imagined it.
yeah he does! im working on it as we speak. i got a lot done over spring break and so far i've 2 videos from my cut. i might be done in a month and im not sure but i might post it up on youtube or not i hav;nt decided. by the way did you comment my depowering video, becasue my e-mail says you did but i dont see the comment. thanks!

this fly-by was replicated in Superman Returns; a nice 'tip-of-the-hat' to the original movies.

Try "copy and paste."
darrellkaiser11285 1 year ago
this version of the ending is overly patriotic in favour of the US.
chewie211171 2 years ago
Wow, never saw this before. But I prefer the classic one.

I'm 80% sure I've seen a flyby where Superman smiles and then says "Hi!" at the screen. Have I imagined this?
Nuclearman2 3 years ago
idk, its possible, but i doubt it. it seems kinda cheesy!!!

NO! It never happened or you were taking some very strong drugs.
