This is just a movie, period. My take was that "the saint of protection" was doing his job, thus convincing god that he shouldnt give up on his creation. If Michael was in fact evil, he would have slaughtered Gabriel. Instead he showed him mercy, forgiveness. I never understood why people get so heated about such things.

All I know is I was once a heavy duty Christian and every time I prayed my life got worse,more and more conflict with people,fights,dram etc,not of my own making.

Legion was a horrible movie so I doubt many people saw it.The only way me and my friends were able to watch it was by turning the volume off and adding in our own lines.That made the movie slightly better.

When God tested Job, what did God have to prove to Satan? Accepting Satan's bet to allowing him to test Job showed God's weakness against Satan. Well. I come from American Christian culture(which doesn't say much.) The stories of a fictitious nature dealing with anything supernatural isn't promulgating gospel. The movie is not about that, it is not a reversal of faith. Gabriel states that the last time God lost faith in man he brought fourth a flood. This is just a movie, period. My take was that "the saint of protection" was doing his job, thus convincing god that he shouldnt give up on his creation. If Michael was in fact evil, he would have slaughtered Gabriel. Instead he showed him mercy, forgiveness. I never understood why people get so heated about such things.

So, I watched this. It was not the best story I´ve heard, nor anything fancy when it came to psychological or charachter depth. You are entitled to your opinions of course. You say that Jesus is coming back in the clouds, as says the holy Scriptures. If you look up the original Greek, it would indicate that Jesus is coming in throngs, or crowds, of people. The word for trumpet is "quavering or viberation". He said he would return as he was here before, before the coming of the Age. We are in a new time, a new age, aligned to Aquarius (the Flood) He walks among us, probably in Female form (greek pronouns are neutral)

All I know is I was once a heavy duty Christian and every time I prayed my life got worse,more and more conflict with people,fights,dram etc,not of my own making.
I stopped praying but still look around and am appalled at the amount of selfishness, cruelty, lack of compassion,and generally no concern for others.
Something HAS to change and I have No problems with Jesus but God is often unmerciful,cruel and HE created evil apparently to test our will!

Christianity isn't the problem. It's the people. They've taken something that started out as a good idea (i.e. just be nice to each other) and corrupted it. I've seen homeless kicked out of church, I was told never to come to another because of my skin color, I even had to walk out of a service because a preacher told us it was our jobs as christians to make muslims live in fear, I've seen a church let a little girl die of cancer because a statue of Jesus was more important. 1492 christians started the indian holocaust, and the lets not forget the spainish inqusition.

The movie no where says that Michael is "lucifer". As some1else commented @the end Michael tells Gabriel, " you gave him (God)what he asked for I gave him what he needed", referring to the earlier question asked by michael to Gabriel, " tell me Gabriel, do wish to be a son who gives his father what he asks or needs". The end is about God not giving up on mankind. Revelations speaks of God sending his angels to cause havoc on the world! God sent his angels to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah-remember?

as propagated as you make the movie seem to be, you propagate against it to secure your version of what you think. I am a believer to a higher power, to what I don't try to understand because we never will until we die, but the Christian God has done what we would think as unmoral today. When God tested Job, what did God have to prove to Satan? Accepting Satan's bet to allowing him to test Job showed God's weakness against Satan. Think of Noah to, not to the extent but same basic story line.

@KornF500 yes but what happened to Job? He became mentally stronger because of his suffering so that he would be prepared for coming trials. In addition, he was given 10 times back what he had lost. God did not show weakness in accepting Satan's challenge, rather he killed two birds with one stone: He made his servant a better man and put another victory under his belt for believers to point to.

I'm amused at what is said around 3:17. WOW. You really need to brush up on your scripture and theology! But I guess it's ok to just read what Nicea and Constantine said were "true" scripts, right? Angels were never nice, friendly beings. They were monstrousities with many eyes and limbs and absolutely frightening creatures. I think the movie portrayed them appropriately.
Also: it is just a film. Your faith should be strong enough that you know what you believe to be right and wrong.

I'm not all that religious, but I do have my beliefs. Yeah the Christian side of me doesn't agree with some of the things in this movie but guess what?! It's just that...A movie. Well. I come from American Christian culture(which doesn't say much.) The stories of a fictitious nature dealing with anything supernatural isn't promulgating gospel. You read the Book of Exodus and it looks nothing like 'The Ten Commandments'. If you like 'The Left Behind' movies and don't like this... you know your audience. Personally, Hollywood is just a place to make movies... and lots of it really doesn't do justice or creative license to the stories they are intending to show. Good luck
