HEhe, this is laughable, sooner or later the whole lebanese coast will be a huge landfill, in beirut there are no more spaces for people to live, it's only a matter of time before the conquest of the sea will start. Personally i dont see what's the big fuss about the project except that the lebanese just argue for the sake of arguing. As for Ms Raefah , the Greenpeace rep., she has to think of all those people who are unemployed and for whom this project may help put some bread on their tables.

Why doesnt the government try to solve their obvious water and energy problems with conservation and building wind turbines and solar panels for clean energy?! Theres no politics involved! i don't necessarly agree with the project but i don't think that green peace or the other environmental sources are giving solid arguments proving they disadvantages of of building the island. We need numbers we need scientific data not just emotional chit chat about our history and traditions.

3. sea creatures suffocating
4. bigger possibilities for more & more pollution from toxics & oil
5 AND the demolishing of our beautiful mountains
