This genre first started in Texas which Selena made famous. Cumbia is a type of mexican music.. Selena is also refred to as the Queen of all music becuase her music had all the genre's all mixed int one she was great!

I was 8 years old when I came home from school to the news that Selena had died. I remember crying and screaming and yelling at my mom, asking her why she was lying to me! I cried and cried for months. Selena was my IDOL growing up. I would dress up as her and pretend to be her. I would gather my family for my "concerts" and I would practice all her dance moves and her signature moves. To this day I am still brought to tears when I see her live performances. Selena you will always be loved!! RIP
