  • what happens if you don't half ass attack someone. I didn't see any examples of that.

  • Thanks for lying in the title just to get more view... I'm going to dislike your video now. k bye!

  • looks more like dancing than fighting

  • wow, nothing REAL about that video.

  • @MrShadowfax1 And more, you speaking about a move that have 1 chance on 3 on the average to kill instantly your opponent, make him fall on his head. Me, I'm speaking about martial arts and moves that have 100% chance to kill when landed properly, because they are DESIGNED to kill.. When you will understand the difference between that 2 philosophy, you will understand the problem of aikido.

  • @ronin2167 Yeah you can still fight with a snapped arm, but now you are incapable of using it and you have a weakspot for your opponent to lay countless blows on you. And a train martial artist can hit with more than 700 pounds of force. Imagine countless 700 pound weights falling on you? Your fucked. And most fights are not bloodlusted, after just a bloody nose or a punch in the face the fight is over. And most martial arts have training to counter drawn weapons. Street fighter will lose

  • @hux5150 This post is the essence of a martial artist... applicability. The best moves, and likely the only moves you should be using in a fight, are techniques that work near perfectly every time no matter what the opponent does.

  • @Swash74 This is also a great point! Many martial arts are standing vs ground based and their response to ground fighting is simple... never go to the ground. But in real life if your opponent wants to take you to the ground then he will... trust me. Even if you are an expect at stand up fighting you must learn to defend against grappling and tackling techniques, and train to get back up off the ground without leaving yourself open.

  • @MrEran1996 While this post has some serious holes in it there is one thing that it addresses that I believe is important to remember... most martial arts do not work very well in "0 range" and while I am a big fan of Aikido unfortunately I am unaware of virtually any "0 range" Aikido moves (most use a 2 foot gap) and Aikido many times lacks offensive abilities. My old master combined Aikido with Wing Chun though, and I can think of almost nothing more dangerous.

  • @Nuetral768 i take aikido and i agree with a lot of what you said, i find it best to use aikido and judo/ jujitsu to compansate for what aikido lacks and vise versa :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Nuetral768 lol i plan to but there isnt alot of that in colorado, do dojo hosts both aikido and judo and since both them take from juijitsu it would be wise to learn it. i dont plan on learning one style but to "have the mind of a beginner" and take from many styles in order to develope one that works well for me; thank you Netral768 for being one to understand aikido and not one to judge it based on its fluidity and softness

  • @Asherite8 Another thing, I have also done Muay Thai and street form Savate (french kick boxing) to go with my internal martial arts practice, and while they remain a dominant part of my fighting style the internal has taken over about 65% of what used to be a purely external style... external isn't everything. I can also say as a competition participant that trophies don't count for shit, when it comes to fighting there are no prohibited moves and your environment will be a factor.

  • @Asherite8 You all must be retarded... at what point did I say that I was using "death touch" or even "pressure points"? I said a PALM STRIKE... and chi isn't fake. A lot of people simply can't grow up enough to interpret chi, so for all of you here it is... your brain communicates with your muscle via electrical pulses (fact). Chi is the Chinese term for that electrical energy. If your brain can communicate with your muscles it can communicate with your opponent's muscles too.

  • @JulianGardna The point isn't to be stupid, but the bottom line is that if you have reason to believe that someone standing near you is going to shoot you regardless of your actions then you might as well act against him first. And to do that you must be confident or you will hesitate ever so slightly and you will have likely screwed up your only chance.

  • Try UFC

  • Awesome, bit flash but cant go wrong with Aikido and Krav Maga. Throw in a bit of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for good measure and you got a nice all around fighting style. Love it.

  • This is aikido.

First, this is not real fights and aikido is not effective as it looks.

This video shows something closer to choregraphy than real fight. I know that thoses technics can be successfull, but they doesn't considerate how quick punches can be launched and how much real fights are more complex than formated technics.

Look UFC and MMA championship, you could see something that looks like an Aikido technic, but it is verry rare and more simple (arms and wrist twisted).

  • @LinkyZ K... go tell this to Steven Seagal lool. He'll show you the real Aikido for street. He almost broke John Leguizamo is 2 once. The guy is just quick and strong.

  • What is this martial art?

  • about 50% of those techniques were realistic. All of the hand to hand is very useful in real life. Unless there's 3 or 4 people on you. If someone pulls a knife or gun on you just give them your fucking wallet .YOUR NOT RAMBO. There is not one real foolproof way to not get stabbed in a street fight. it is so fast you wont know what the hell is going on until your in the hospitable.

  • Bullshido!

  • @dontwalkdontrun just becuase he didn't end up with broken nose, bloody face, shirtless and no referee

  • @MegaMrname Just because it is more choreographed then Cirque du Soleil, and as fake as Jenna Jameson's tits. This is pure Bullshido. Throwing around a wet noodle does not a martial artist make.

  • @dontwalkdontrun I bet you have never seen aikido, I've first handedly seen the techniques. I know you can't explain anything to bullshido-mma-ufc minded guys. But believe it or not it works pretty well provided you know the technique well. regarding the choreography, if you mean fallings they have to do it, because otherwise you might get injuries, I didn't google it, I experienced a terrible elbow pain because of wrong falling motion.

  • @MegaMrname I actually took aikido for 2 years. Then I started judo and I realized I wasted 2 years of my life on that crap. If you experience "terrible elbow pain" after you google you should switch to the other hand. Bullshido!

  • @dontwalkdontrun it means you have reasoning problems, either you couldn't apply it because of lack of experience and now blaming the discipline. Even if it was really a "crap" blame the instructor not the art. If you can't perceive this then look for a psychiatrist.

  • @MegaMrname Aikido is the shortbus of martial arts. You belong on the shortbus. Can you perceive that? Can you sense my ki energy flowing out of this post into your one point?

  • @dontwalkdontrun whoop his ass dontwalkdontrun. put him on tha short bus lmao!

  • @dontwalkdontrun Here's an example, say there is someone who can't even throw a punch, he claims that he is a master martial artist and creates a "discipline" which cannot do any shit. Do you think it can spread out? Of course not. As I said, If you can't apply something blame yourself. I think you can't do something and you are too weak-willed to admit it. So you are blaming aikido. A very "smart" way out

  • what martial arts is this? reply please thanks

  • @zxcnova It looks like Aikido.

  • @DrInsane44 it's almost certainly Akido, or it could be a very high master of Hapkido, which is, oversimplified, Korean Akido.

  • @32Rainking I'll still bet Akido. I know you can dress like whatever you want, but I don't believe Hapkido masters wear hakamas. I could be wrong though.

Or he's one badass old school jujutsu master that has taken all the techniques to the next level.

  • looks cool, but wouldn't it be nearly impossible if the attacker knows how to use knife or gun properly? like marine or someone gone through serious training?

  • @BruceVu Still not impossible. Depends on how much training each side has gone through, but in that cause it depends on the individual person. Assuming both has equally trained, it then comes down to luck and endurance.

  • To the un trained this is exciting but, how would this play out in the streets with another trained fighter. Remember his partner is going along with those movesTrust me you would see a much different out come.

    .

  • Man, he makes Steven Seagal look like little Lord Fauntelroy!!!

  • i want to learn this ^.^

  • This is fking sick

  • Works great...when you're training and know you're about to be attacked. The best defense for a street fight is not to get in one.

  • I was expecting a real match, not a series of clips from demos. Though, as far as demos go, this was WAY better than most Aikkido demo vids (because he was really throwing), and seemed to have some great Kenpo and Jiujitsu elements...

  • 2:50...fresh back breaker WWE style lol

  • I KEEP ASKING WHERE THIS IS BECAUSE I WANT LESSONS!! YOU WANNA MAKE MONEY??? WHERE ARE YOU GIVING CLASSES!!

  • i would hate to have to fight them

  • Don't see anything here that is illegal in MMA.

Would LOVE to see him try these techniques in MMA.

  • This is what self defense should be like...hurt the attacker without killing him and let him fly a bit so his friends do not try any bullshit...

  • Amazing!!!

  • martial arts wins

  • is this krav maga?

  • @buba5300 it looks like aikido to me by the tosses but i could be wrong but its not krav maga

  • Thrust me I know what I'm talking about.

Prime example in a martial arts tournament is the Forms/Katas competition, RARELY a participant who wins Forms goes on to win a combat competition. My 14 Y/O nephew WHO is a Black Belt has NEVER won a forms tournament, but throw him in a combar even with older opponents and 90% of time he kicks ass, that's because his teacher (my brother) taught him to have balls, determination, and a never-quit character.

  • Lots of you oviously have no clue that adrenaline is.

A bad guy who's pissed off & determined to fuck you up/kill you isn't STOPPING the attack because of a dislocated arm/shoulder I know I WOULDN'T.

The "Oh-Shit! Effect" (disarming or TEMPORARILY newtralizing an attacker who was in control) is a diffrent story (Psychological factors), but in that instance you have to totally follow through with your conterattack and if possibly kill depending on how bad your opponent is trying to KILL YOU.

  • this is very good demonstration of real world self defense, if the "attacker" tried to resist they would only get hurt, if the attack was real and the idiot resisted they would have dislocated and/or broken limbs not to mention significant damage from bouncing off the ground.

  • To the people who think that these techniques are too slow to work: they are purposely doing it slow so that people can see what they're doing. If you encounter this situation in real life then you'll see that it usually is over in less that 1 second.

  • Krav Maga in my opinion is better. Very similar tho.

  • Most of this is aikido, although more combat-oriented and this man is good. Granted I do have to admit he's pretty big and strong. If his attackers are much bigger he might still win but not this easily.

  • If this guy had appeared in major motion pictures before Steven Seagal, he would've killed at the box office with those action sequences. This guy is smooth. No disrespect to Sensei Seagal who respectfully showcased his art to a global audience.

  • ALI gato

  • ahh... unagi...

  • Looks beautiful...but in a real situation half of this shit does NOT work..your opponent who's trying to kill you, is NOT going to le himself thrown around that easy.

  • @Gatow9lives he's not letting, he has to. the pain is unbearable. trust me when i say that, i've hurt myself countless times when i tried to resist those techniques. in a real life situation, when those techniques WILL be performed to hurt the attacker, the situation is even worse. if he doesnt know how to fall, he'll end up with a broken arm.

  • Beautiful,hard Aikido - from a Serbian guy if I'm not mistaken.

  • nice video

  • MARTIAL ARTS VS MMA Actually.....

  • wth guys this is just a demo they make people tap out before it became famous

theyve studied this stuff for a lot of years, if you learn an art u have an advantage of course

i agree that an experienced attacker has advantage also, but mostly his advantage is just his nerves coz he's done it many times

  • @johnyblaze11 how many cases have you heard where experienced, trained thugs go around mugging people?

  • @guitarpwner67 all i ment is people who advertise a martial art for that type of deffence dont tell the student it wont work on some1 who knows wat there doing and claim that it will work

  • @johnyblaze11 there's no garauntee but it could work :/ just like the person who knows how to accurately use there weapon, the defender knows how to accurately disarm the weapon (assuming they've have trained for a number of years). do you train any martial arts?

  • @guitarpwner67 i cant i have muscular distrophy

  • @johnyblaze11 well if you did, then you would notice techniques aren't full proof. you would also notice that certain techniques flow together so if one fails you go to another, and if that fails you go to another (with almost no wasted movement). The point being is that us martial artists don't simply know one way to defend an attack, we know multiple ones, which can be used in endless succession, in order to keep the weapon out of the line of attack.

  • @guitarpwner67 ok i never ment to get into an argument thanks for the info

  • all the martial arts in the world wont help u if have an experianced attacker for example some1 who actually knows how to fight with a knife is gonna be standing with it already in view hes gonna keep it hidden right up till the point hes is going to stab u, same principal with a gun hes the guys has attacked people before he isnt gonna be standing in ur face holding it hes gonna be standing at least 3-4 feet away these self defence classes r designed for fighting amatuer attackers, just run

  • What form of martial arts is this?

  • @kingbeatsoz Aikido

  • right... do u believe it has ANYTHING to do with a real fighting? come on!

  • Basically, in aikido, the attacker has already lost before he has even struck his opponent. In a lot of these videos, both Uke and Tori are experience in the art. The whole point of aikido is to anticipate or even lead on you opponent to attack you so you can strike and defeat him.

  • @takezotony o rly?? i thot it was to lead them in and throw them and not to strike becuz of aikidos bhudist roots.

  • @nigahigafan10009 Shinto actually...not Buddhist. There is atemi (striking) techniques in Aikido.

  • Slow down sht i cant learn the moves

  • prelaiter :D

  • WHY ARE THEY PLAYING JESUS WALK IN THE BACKGROUND

  • for street fighters that say the beat up a martial artist its because the martial artist dont know what he is doing and he a beginner

  • excellent vid, but the "(real)" is very misleading in the title. This isn't even a fight, but a compilation video. Why taint a good looking video with a lie in the title?

  • @imreadydoctor "real" refers to the speed. Most videos are fought at quick demonstration speed, this is real-time, as in the assailant is attacking at full speed like they would in a real situation.

  • @ch1mpanzeethat I see, thank you for the explanation.

  • I speak for all the guys in the world, can i have your number?

  • lol

  • Ok, so what's "Real" about this video?

  • try that in a fight that you dont know is coming and it wont work

  • @lebo4life1000 @gmacri23 ok i have seen this so many times...well i cant say i know much about throws since i practise karate but i know that these moves were created to efficiently work in combat situations.in martial arts these moves have been working for the people using them for over A THOUSAND YEARS so who are you to say that they wont work?it's just that to make them work you have to train much and make your body remember them through hard work, something that many learners neglect...

  • @lebo4life1000 lol there is no defense against a surprise attack obviously no matter what you fight with.

  • I would like to see him try to grab mayweathers left hand

  • I have yet to see a demonstration against a person who actually trying. why is it always, always, staged????????

  • fake and gay

  • choreography. nice dancing though.

  • What's real in this video? It's all staged punches! Anyone can practice the same bullshit moves on a half-hearted attempt of an attack.and look good at it. All stunts, not real. Put up a new video of someone actually trying to smash your face in and when that bullshit flip doesn't work out... what are you gonna do next? Panic!!!

  • Not hating but a person can have all those great fighting skills and still get knocked out with 1 punch.

  • never pull a gun unless you plan to shoot it, but in the same token if you pulled a gun you sure as hell dont just stand there and wait to be disarmed. Pulling a gun is a very serious act with very serious results. But that whole just standing there pointing it at someone waiting to see their neat tricks is just stupid too. From the point of pulling to the point of shooting should be no longer than the time it takes to turn the safety off.

  • @God8010 10000% correct myfriend.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2:28

  • Ajm 5007 ///if you think this works you are dilusional Things DO NOT work this way when they are not staged and rehearsed, believe me i won't get into it over a computer but i know.

  • Comment removed

  • Moral of the story...never wear a black jacket, jeans and white trainers to a fight, because you're going to get your butt kicked!

  • Hello, I have never followed a lesson of Aikido, but i follow Hapkido lessons. May I ask, is the black long robe only for those who reached the 1st dan of Aikido? Strange question perhaps, just curious, because i dont see all students wearing a black robe( can i call it a robe?)

    Greet Dave

  • @davedebekker Hakama are normally reserved for dan grades...so yes.

  • i wanna hear arnold swartzeneggars voice every time he falls

  • A MMA fighter will almost always get his ass kicked by a seasoned street fighter in the streets.

  • @soukupb Wrong on so many levels. MMA fighters are stronger, faster, more skilled, and more intelligent than an average street fighter

  • @AnIndoneousUsername They might be stronger but skilled not so much. You can't tap out in a street fight, there is no ref to stop you from getting you killed. All a street fighter has to do is pull out a gun, knife, pipe, throw sand in your eye, have a bunch of his friends with him etc... And the MMA fighter is finished. They train to fight specifically in a controlled environment not preparing to deal with an ambush in the streets.

  • @soukupb Yeah but remember, in a street fight there are no rules. In the ring, MMA fighters have to be pulled apart from one another cause if one gets another in a choke for to long or to tight, then the victims could suffocate to death or get his neck snapped. Just because MMA fighters are restricted to using their full power when in the ring doesn't mean that they are also restricted in the streets. And if the other guy pulls out a gun and shoots the MMA fighter, well thats not a fight.

  • @AnIndoneousUsername Ya it's still a fight for your life. Any street fight is potentially a fight for your life because you don't know what other person's capable of and you have to be ready for anything and MMA doesn't teach you that and neither do a lot of other Martial Arts.

  • @soukupb I'm pretty sure MMA fighters can play just as dirty as a street fighter. Once a MMA fighter gets the brawler in a headlock or an arm bar. Its game over.

  • @AnIndoneousUsername MMA fighting is actually awful for self-defense because it's so focused on one situation - one-on-one, hand-to-hand combat in a controlled environment with a referee and a time limit. It's not as useful outside of an organized competition as something like aikido or krav maga.

  • @ajm5007 Its in a controlled environment to prevent one guy from accidentally killing the other. But I have to agree, its not the greatest style of self defense. But what I was trying to explain to soukupb is that MMA style of fighting is a lot more effective than any normal street fighters.

  • @AnIndoneousUsername what happens when the guy getting arm barred or choked pulls out a knife, pen, keys or whatever with his free hand from his pocket and stabs the guy or pokes him in the eye with said object? I've done Judo and BJJ and rolling around on the ground with someone is a bad idea....especially if they have friends. Just my .02

  • @ronin2167 What happens when the person who in control of the arm bar and decides to snap the other guys arm? What happens if a martial artist decides to shove his fingers so hard into your neck that it closes your wind pipe? There is NO WAY a regular street brawler is going to take down a trained martial artist in a legit fist fight. And its pretty hard to pull out a knife while in an arm bar cause most people will focus on trying to get their arm free.

  • Real! I guess throwing your training partners and students at a planned sequenced demo is REAL. Drink up and enjoy your martial arts Kool-aid!

  • very very nice moves

  • 1:01, fuckin tight

  • its akido vs krav maga

  • cool

  • Real Street Fight: 1 man vs 12 homeboys. 12 homeboys win. 1 Man lying in pool of blood with multiple stabs and possible gunshots to head.

  • the power of AIKIDO !!! nice video !!

  • Can the fucking morons on youtube stop putting "real" in DEMONSTRATIONS?

  • so where does the street fighting come in?? (Real)

  • Omfg I'm in love with Aikido. Why a school of it can't be near my town u_U?

  • @7596crain the TaeKwonDo you learn here in America is just the BASICS of TaeKwonDo...if you want to learn all of it..take a little trip to my home country South Korea...or North Korea (go to South Korea instead God knows how you'll be treated by the North Koreans and their government)

  • @7596crain the TaeKwonDo you learn here in America is just the basic forms and moves of TaeKwonDo...if you want to learn all of the forms and moves of TaeKwonDo...just go to South Korea...or North Korea (if you don't get shot down or blown to bits) <-------i am talking about North Korea not South...

  • i only studied sport type tkd and i wish i would have learned this akido or judo.

note: the original tkd was a mix of punches and legs and takedowns it wasnt just kicking blows, therefore u would kno how to defend urself once ur opponent was close range.

  • lol after learning doing martial art, i pray everyday that i do not need to use what i learned to fight against my opponent, but instead just calmly walk away from the fight

  • Ja bi rekao da je ovo realni aikido

  • I honestly want to see those very same moves, all in slow motion, so I can get a better view of the techniques used.

  • i would talk crap too, but i do krav maga, and we take a few techniques from akido. ONLY a few

  • muggers wont do those type of moves this style is not good for the streete ill take knug fu over this any day this looks more staged

  • no matter how hard people try to make akido look cool it is just gay!! here let me hold my hand out for you in just the way you need it so you can do your move this mite work if you are fighting a retard that runs at you like that but mma fighter will kill you

  • @sawbeast muggers are usually the same retards that hold their guns side ways

  • @sawbeast before you start talking shit about Aikido why do you think a MMA fighter like

ANDERSON SILVA would pay STEVEN SEAGAL to train him

  • @sawbeast im pretty sure that guy could kick ur ass

  • if you know martial arts you might be able to win every math even if they got a knife and if they got a gun then you will just have to get lucky and if you fight someone who knows martial arts then its just 1on1 may the best win

  • @lscosme1 agreed, problem is you lose all the confidence and forget what youre supposed to do when the opponent is armed with a knife/gun etc. If you can pull out the calmness and remember what to do you have a much better chance + remember that the best option is to RUN.

And a personal note to all the people who are saying this stuff wont work:

Please visit a close "Proper" martial arts academy near you and politely ask to fight them - you'll be training there soon enough.

  • @lscosme1 every math?

  • @lscosme1 Its even the same with knives at times .-. I have been held at knife point once, took him down but still got scraped on my forearm and it bled quite a bit.

  • very well done, but i wont ever fight vs. some1 who got a knife..

  • Some styles are more effective against certain situations any trained fighter should beat an untrained one, but certain styles rely on unreasonable techniques and defenses against certain attacks. BJJ showed years ago that when a semi competent ground fighter faces a even more skilled pure stand up fighter with poor or no take down/ground defense the ground fighter usually wins. Just a fact proven time and time again. all top standup fighters in MMA have good take down defense

  • aikido is nice!

  • Nice techniques, Just shared this on our google+ page!

  • Real? It's not. Lie!

  • It's a bunch of guys beating the tar out of each other......AWESOME!!!!!

  • Why do people always assume if someone does this Kung Fu crap they don't also have a weapon? Most martial artist I know also go to the shooting range and own various firearms. I believe it was the samurai's mindset that states, learn to use all weapons.

  • As if on street people attack like that. Those techniques are just shown with speed, that doesn't break the fact that there is still not applicable on street because poeple don't do just one wild attack, but a lot with the flow of rage :/

    /watch?v=OsCQYTXcJ70

  • @Sadoruro No not really alot is one big haymaker one huge punch trying to clean you up that is what happens. Sometimes they thro lots of punches with no control the moves are just the same just need better timing

  • @Sadoruro but look at each and every one of their 1st techniques, they all start out with "one wild attack". obviously fights r not static, but if u react to their 1st punch well, the only one flowing will be you.

  • @ikcjjtt Yeah, but barely. If the one goes with rage and overflow of punch... Remains that in a fight against two master, Aikido is not really efficient. Feint are too much efficient on hit, kick in the leg too, fast punch in order to not let your hand grab two.

  • @Sadoruro aikido is only designed to fight against the average person on the street. It isnt even an combative art. its simply meant to bide time and get away without hurting u nor your opponent.

  • @ikcjjtt No it is not moves in AIKIDO are used to break or kill. Get away without hurting someone how stupid is that comment.

  • Comment removed

  • @Sadoruro No you can kill and seriously injure with AIKIDO A boxer is the same with leg kicks grabs or knife attacks as well. A kickboxer trains for specific moves and so and so on. AIKIDO was created for a specific purpose and those moves can be used on the street where there is no hands up lets fight, its let get it on AIKIDO works great.you are a moron AIKIDO moves are perfect for a street fight

  • @MrShadowfax1 Ok ok boy, continue to train in your illusion if it please to you xD One day maybe you will encounter a high level opponent in fight and you will understand that Aikido in no more that made for submit the average man on the street, that's all ^^
