Yeah this is happening to me as well! I do game a lot, maybe that's the cause.. I looked up this problem and apparently one cause of this is over-use of your hand (Please don't take that sexually). From looking at the comments it seems quite a few people are getting this now :/
I have this twitching from past couple of months but its getting worse these days. Is there any preventive action for this. I am worried these days. Please post your responses if you already visited a doctor on this issue. Thanks guys.

yesss this is happening to mee i woke up the smornin and there was my thumb just twitching a way .. i thort it was just coz i was resting but five hours later its still goin,,, i thort it myt be parkinsons but wen i red on gooogle it sed just trapped nerves sooo i guess itll be ok :)

My right thumb.. its twitching. It's not as bad as yours, but when mine happens it happens for about 5 - 10 seconds and it does it fast. And when my thumb twitches, I can feel something around my wrist.. sort of a "blood circulation cut-off" feeling, but not literally I hope.
Woah dude, I'm glad this is happening to other people..in a way lol. My LEFT THUMB is twitching quite rapidly for periods of 5-7 seconds randomly. When it happens, i get a feeling half way up my wrist RIPPLE down into the thumb and that twitches it. Yeah it feels as if its getting cut off, and when i place my hands up i get sort of a pins and needle feeling and blood dropping down. And of course, when i put my hand down, the blood goes down in a pins and needle way. only 14, help?
omg i had the same thing happen to me a few times, don't worry about it it's just the nerves in your thumb having a random twitch. The doc told me it was perfectly normal but can be sorted if you ask :D
I found your comment on a video regarding left thumb twitching. Mine has been doing it for 2-3 weeks. I'm left hand dominant and a computer tech by profession.
Appeared one night out of nowhere and is pretty annoying, but no other symptoms to speak of. I'm wondering what I can do to help it heal and go away. No family of neurological. Any help appreciated?
