no it wasn't a 4x4 but it only had 77k miles on it and the body was in very good condition. I'm moving to south carolina this fall so I won't need 4wheel drive. Even so my dad had a rear wheel drive and he just put about 200lbs pounds of sand bags in the bed and it worked just fine in a blizzard.

not every one need a all wheel drive. I lived in Alaska in 04 -05 and I road 2003 f150 4.6 rear wheel drive. I put concrete blocks in the back and I had no problem getting around.

i would never buy the o2 eliminators they dont work they are jsut an extension to the o2 wiring i had them on my 99 and i cut my cats out of my 03 and no light ever came on and now the eliminators are over $100 !

Taking the cats off is not going to make you gas mileage go down! It actually makes it better. Your foot got heavy due to the really good sound. which causes your mileage to suffer. It's what we do!!! Check engine light is fixable with a tuner and mil elim's. Sounds mean.

well i never put in m.i.l eliminators so the check engine light came on. but i was gettin about 15 mpg and when i took the cats off it dropped to about12-13 mpg. but to me it was worth it cuz it sounds sooooooo good. KEEP TRUCKIN!!!!

I have almost the exact same truck and mods as you. I have a 2003 FX4, 5.4, with true 40 series duals and a K&N cold air intake system, and the edge performance chip. But Im thinking about taking my cats off but did it make a big difference performance wise when you did? I also know it makes it sound a helluva lot better as i can tell because mine is not that loud.

Just for you ford guys out there. I have a 01f150 and i gutted the cats out and put on m.i.l. eliminators on to not ever send an error to the computer. The cats on these pickups are a joke cuz the passenger side has two cats on it before it joins into one pipe and both were plugged at 60 thousand miles.  Love the sound from the 5.4 and it never hurt anything.

its called removing the engine light blub , actually my cats are gutted on my 2000 and there is no code in the computer only the code for egr pressure sensor which i took the blub out cause the truck runs like a kittin so it was not worth fixing at the moment i got the 4.2 v6

i have that same truck (regular cab, long bed) with a k&n intake and flowmaster dual 40 series. i have been trying to decide what to do next but after seeing this video i am definitely going to cut my cats off...plus mine has the 5.4L engine, so it'll roar :)

Are there any other modifications cause mine is a 98 F150 Its got JBA headers flowmaster exhaust 3inch pipes, BBK throtle body and K and N intake but it seems like it doesnt have any power the shops dont tell me much except how much is going to be to check it please any help is appreciated

I have a manual 99 F150 with 4.6. It has flowmasters coming out of the side and its got a k and n filter and it has no power. i think stock hp is around 220. Its got over 100 thousand miles on it. A ford shop down the road said that the oxygen sensors are going bad and when they are replaced we should have more power. Give that a try. It shouldnt hurt.

Sorry for the bad quality guys only camera i got for now. I forgot to add that i bought a rear end for it its a 3.55 limited slip with 88,000 miles on it.
