yes, it is online and it's a very good game ...the online is wht makes it even more fun thoe..people online in this game do alot of things on here 2 DRAGRACING,DRIFTTING,RACING AROUND THE TRACK,AN TIME ATTACKS,AND EVEN RACING 4 MONEY 2 PINKS!!

i also forgot 2 say that 4 online play  there's ppl who Do lil mini-games like Cops N Robbers,Cat N Mouse,and some other games that i dont remember "but anyway if u kick'it wit diffrent ppl online sometimes their making up new lil mini-games and also if ur new an it's ur 1st time playing this game,so u can kno 4 a heads up whn u see *(75laps)* it means they r DRAGRACING or DRFTING or playing lil mini-games or something else idk.....

yeah that is true. the only thing i REALLY HATE is how they dont include some other car models that should be in the game. 180SX, R33 Skyline GTR, 4Door R34.. etc... And not being able to take off body parts like Spoiler and such is kind of annoying too.
