  • hello Erik !

    This is a great classic-italian song !

I give you 4 stars because i am missing the "italian" feeling. This song must be played with (much) more emotion. You can achieve this by modifying speed and volume. Please, do the favor to me and listen to Pavarotti/Meat-loaf here on youtube (they do this very good). The version from Dean Martin as well will show this in a different way.

I know, you can do it, but then with 5 stars !

Come on... BE ITALIAN... show your feelings !

  • I have to correct me partially. The third time i hear your recording, i can hear the changes in volume und speed at least partially. It's probably a problem of "automatic volume control" by the camera again. Nevertheless, still a bit more emotion would be good i think.

    Good job so far !

  • Go easy on the guy. He's Canadian. eh? ;)

  • So beautiful!! Your accordion playing is truly inspiring.

  • Interesting study,Salute.

  • This song is one of my favorites of napolitan reportoire. The original italian title is "Torna a Surriento" by E. De Curtis. I moved.

Excellent interpretation. Bravo Erik and deserves a good rating.

    Fabrizio

  • hi Erik, is this another tune for the Palmer Hughes course, since I have a copy of this tune in one of his books?

  • Yes Brian this tune is straight out of Book Five I believe...ERIK

  • For the piannissimo try using on the beginning the violin reed...then switch to the 4 voice reed when you it the fortissimo.

  • Yes it just turned 7:40 am !

    I'm up since 6:15 ! ! !

    And it's a holliday ! Schuks !

  • I just love this song ! ! !

It's so romantic! Nice bass work there! Could I have this arrangement please?

Keep on posting videos they're really good!

  • Thank you very much Michelle.....You must be up early in the morning...It is 11:30PM here!..>ERIK
