For a 30gallon tank, your pick is very limited. You cannot put that many cichlid in a 30gallon. Yellow Labs, Demasoni, and saulosi is what i would for. Pick one of those species and you will have a great cichlid tank. I got these rocks at a local landscape store. They are called Lace Rock

i only clean under the rocks and clean teh rocks themself once a month (when i take out the rocks to catch out holding females). i usually just clean around it. i recently just added more rocks into the tank. i will put an updated video after i add my 16 demasoni.
