Well this type of music is FARRRRR from what I listen to and i somehow stumbled apon this song from listening to your farmers song with was good btw :) But there is something I really like about your voice and I just cannot explain it, but I like. Keep playing, singing, and most importantly have fun.
no, please keep it up. i can send you the original if you like. which is played on the guitar. I'm glad his song is remembered, and would love to come down to any open nights where you are likely to play it. we are based in Nottingham. but I travel around a lot.
This song was originally by my dad. Dave Turner. i'm trying to catch up with people who knew him when he was on tv and doing stuff with jasper carrot. if you could get in touch with anything to send me in the right direction I would be very greatful.
I'm sorry Joe the only thing I can tell you about this song is that I first heard it from a Yorkshire man nick named Gluy who was at college with me at Cosham near Portsmouth back in 1971. He used to sing it with a ukellali guitar. I havent heard from him since those days. I hope you are not offended at my attempt to cover the song on Youtube. I will remove it if you prefer. It has been a party piece since 1971 and has entertained admirably. Thanks to your dad for this song.
