    Do they survive the winter in those same pots? I noticed they are not planted in the ground...just curious.

  • @greenleaflink Thank for your kind words. All of these Japanese maples have been outside in Southern Oregon weather for up to 15 years. We regularly get temps into the 20's F, but sometimes cold spells down into single digits. The Japanese maples do fine even if they containers become frozen solid. Sometimes the trunk can become "burned" and bacteria can invade, but I have customers who successfully grown Japanese Maples outside in much colder climes, like Idaho. Thanks again. Larry
