On watching this for a third or fourth time I was made to realize that it was not only Kasparov's coordination that was sublime here. I also admire the way you, KC, managed to time your animation so neatly to the span of the musical piece!
I have to admit I rather enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure out the reasoning's behind the moves myself, especially with the arrows as guidelines. That being said I do prefer your commentaries as they provide more insight. And the re-emphasis of past great games is not a bad idea.
I enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure out the ideas behind the moves without your help. The arrows still gave me some guidelines but it also required me to really think. While these videos are not bad per se I do preffer your commentary as it is far more deep.
Now guys when you are playing the game or analysing there's no one pointing out ideas and spoon feeding you, while it would take some getting used to it also helps to exercise your thought process rather than wait for KC to tell you what's happening. Without hearing a word you can still see what is going on he could have left of the arrows but didn't and he still linked to the original commentary video.
Try stopping the vid at points and understand what KC is trying to show us.
i didnt like these at first, but im starting to enjoy them. they are not as good as commentary obviously in terms of learning, but you can still gather the gist of things by looking at where you put the arrows and such. thumbs up
i dont understand why people complain about the stuff KC is doing. he obviously likes this! and its not like you guys are paying him to produce videos the way you like it... he is doing what he likes, which is the most important thing. and obviously - as stated by many in the comments section - a lot of people are enjoying these. i do. this game is a good example that some chess games carry a visual beauty which can be seen without the need of words.
Can anyone explain me what's the matter how many thumbs up/down is in the videos? Does youtube pay anything to the author according to number of thumbs?
@kaziuniek Raw number of "thumbs up" and also the "thumbs up to thumbs down ratio" influences the automated system of where this video is linked elsewhere on youtube, and how high up the queue. So yes, it does affect the amount of publicity a given video might get, or not get.
@TheOneBlackSheep1973 But that is part of why I thought it was a good idea - I'm picking the favourite game videos I did in the past, and also using these videos to re-emphasise those.
Thumbs up! I don't know what everyone is complaining about - KC always links to a full annotated version in the video responses, so if you prefer that version you can always click on that. These videos are just a quick overview of the game showing you the basic ideas. As a visual learner, I appreciate the game summary without getting bogged down with the algebraic soup of game notation and analysis. Keep Posting KC!
thumbs down, it is a great music video showing the art and beauty of chess. I will give you that ,but the video response is a great chess video. I do not like many chess videos with music except jessicafisherqueen and yes I did thumbs down your first video the difference between the two is like trying to comparing the limp lettuce game and the game you sacked the night and the exchange (ha ha) for g file pressure. so in closing this is like limp lettuce to me... thumbs up for video response
Thumbs sideways - I enjoy the serenity of these videos and I think they're really nice for a relaxing view of chess, but I'd rather see a full analysis with voice commentaries. I don't mind seeing one of these every now and then, but please don't let them take over your awesome analysis.
thumbs down simply because im not watching kingscrusher to listen music (which is very carefully choosen :D ) ,than to listen KC what is behind moves in those GM games what he said about that. Video animation is ok but word is a word and sometimes i need to stop to see what are consequence of each move with KC everything is much easier and entertaining . But maybe im not used to it ,time will show . Bye
thumbs up as a music video, but thumbs down as a chess video. I really enjoy your insight into games, especially the annotated rapids, etc. so don't see much point to these; sorry.
Please wait a few minutes - Bach has been chosen! It will need about 10 minutes from now. I think it is quite nice as an accompanyment.
As a control experiment for this type of video against the potential abuse of anonymous voting, please either put "Thumbs Up" or "Thumbs down" into the video, once the music is available in the background - which should be Bach.

Love the music more than the video content. KC, audio commentary is far better than these language independent videos! Thumbs up to bring it up.
