@runnersdialzero33 they used to have this dark edge that they pretty much lost after clumsy. they lost a shitload of their fans to become mainstream and ive had a distaste for them ever since. most of their current fans dont like the old stuff and vice versa

@sunn0isamazing Meh. To me, the first two records are really solid rock records, but the really unique stuff was only going full force on the next two albums. It was there before, definitely, but it really shined on Happiness and Spiritual Machines. To me, they've still got a pretty unique edge going - see "Wipe That Smile Off Your Face" from the Healthy in Paranoid Times album. Darker sound, really solid lyrics and musicianship, very unrestrained and unique vocal style, especially near the end.

@sunn0isamazing I'll also add that I don't think they ever "went mainstream", especially with Spiritual Machines. I'll grant you that Gravity was a pretty jarring shift, but I think the songwriting is still pretty good on much of that record, and everything they did after that was much less polished etc. Not a return to their older style, but that wouldn't have been the right move, anyway - the way forward is not the way back. Their stuff is still unique and well written, to me.

I mean - both versions are great, but... it has so much more meaning with the other characters, I think.

I know Canadians and Americans are a little different, but we (Canada) get music and videos from the states unaltered constantly, but whenever somthing from here heads south they always tweek it for an american audience, which seems insane bacuase when it comes to almost everything we are prectically the same.

yeah there is lip syncing in music videos that's because the track is supposed to sound the same as it does on the cd they can't really be performing with all that stuff going on the audio would come out bad. They rock on c.d. or in concert no they aren't pulling an ashley simpson she truly sounds like s**t!

It's true, almost all music videos are done through lip synching, but in this case when the audio doesn't quite synch up to the video, it's because of the file I had to use to upload this, not because Raine's bad at it. This is a very difficult video to find in perfect quality, so all of the rips of it that have surfaced online thus far have some problems. This one's the best, but does have some issues with synching.
