  • prince is a guitar god-and most people dont know it!!

  • Princes guitar is still in orbit

  • Loved Prince since High School and Petty before that. But I must say that I'm disappointed in Prince's ego that he thinks he should walk off like the rest are shit. Sorry babe, you have talent but no class.

  • @Pettyhead8 That's what he does when he plays somewhere and does not want to be interviewed,or he is not with his on band. When a pimp has to go ; it's time to go !

  • Let's see Michael Jackson (when he was alive) do that!

  • If you didn't know Prince was a beast you do now

  • Jeff Lynne sings beautifully... If only that man could give us a little bit more of his great talent!!!

  • Prince's solo's awesomeness caused a wormhole opening which caused his guitar to disappear after he throws it into the air 6:11

  • Prince nailed the solo. In my opinion Prince and Jack White are the two best guitarists of the last 20 years. Way to make Minneapolis proud Prince......we love you!!

  • that was some great guitar playing

  • prince

  • It's amazing how a talented musician can make a solo like that look effortless. It's like he's focusing more on looking cool than playing and it still turns out amazing. I'm not a fan of Prince's music in general but I can't deny his talent..

  • @eribraz Prince as always been about making a performance than playing guitar. it seems he leaves the practicing at home like all guitarists should...

I may not like showy guitarist but it speaks volumes on how a solo should be done live.

Chops, melody and performance, wether people like showmanship it isn't up to me, but people love, best thing is he can back up what he's doing.

  • love how pricen makes the guitar his bitcch hahahah

  • I love the face Dhani Harrison make at 4'45, it's like "omagad, this man is crazy, don't you see, he's PRINCE OMAGAD AWESOME", and all the others guys don't give a damn about the amazing guitar solo.

  • With all the crazy and whacky stuff he puts out, it's easy to forget how great a guitar player Prince is. Thanks for the reminder Prince lol. WOW!

  • Wow, unbelievable what a performance

  • yeah prince! make that telecaster sing!

  • @thewhorocks524 Pretty sure that's a Schecter. That's what Prince usually plays. Looks just like a Tele, though.

  • prince is a bad muth fucka !

  • holy fuck, eargasm

  • did Prince throw his guitar in the air in the end? anyways, what a performance!

  • what a true first class performance all the way!! Especially Prince! what a musician!

  • What a performance by Prince?

Tom and others looked somewhat dazed and surprised as Prince kept going and then .....

  • IIs the better performance of this song I have ever heard, a masterpiece.

  • who is the guitar player playing up to the Prince lead?

    Thank you Prince... unbelievable... thanks

  • @brooksnorton that's Marc Mann

  • who is the guitar player playing up to the Prince lead?

  • who are the others, playing? ALL OF THEM!?

  • who are the others players,? the not obvious?1st player (w/beret), percussionist, drummer , black keyboards? pardon my ignorance, where were mike campbell & ben tench? who was the tech that caught prince?such an amazing song , let's give proper credit!!!

  • prince is unconcious

  • In my opinion, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty sing this song way better than Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney...the prince solo certainly doesn't hurt either.

  • Thank you Prince that was amazing!

  • Prince totally takes it and goes with it. When he throws the guitar up at the end, I'd swear the George Harrison reached down from heaven and grabbed it!

  • I can't believe he makes a Telecaster sound like THAT.....damn

  • @TheLittlewing22

    a hohner telecaster at that.....

  • idk which one i like better.. this one or the one with eric clapton at the concert for george

  • A beautiful version of this song.

  • prince is a god

  • That is cool a feck, awesome guitar playing and what a way to leave the stage.

  • Wer hätte das von Prince gedacht:Super Solo....

  • best tribute ever.. hands down

  • Dhani is a good guitar player, if you listen to the Traveling Wilburys "Like a Ship," the guitar solo on there is Dhani. Thats why he is a member of the Traveling Wiburys. Then again, it was 3 years after this video was done. Maybe he learned a few things.

  • @MikeLovesChoppers firstly Clapton's not in this vid, secondly prince was there as Dhani's guest as he is a huge prince fan, thirdly Dhani by his own admission is not a very good guitar player, and lastly fuck off

  • Anyone have the mp3 version of this?

I cant for the life of my find it anywhere online.

  • Anyone have the mp3 version of this. I cant for the life of my find it anywhere online.

  • @10995 if you use the real player downloader you can download the vid and convert it to mp3 or whatever format you want. i find it great for stuff like this on youtube which is hard to find anywhere else.

  • @gjkmcl what now? You can d/l youtube vids? sweet how? PM me....

  • @gjkmcl The problem with doing that is the audio quality isn't the greatest. I've been going through versions of this on YouTube for about half an hour trying to find one with HQ audio (after searching for the MP3).

  • @IDioGenesis yeah that can be true with some vids. but there are ways around that too. the realplayer converter allows you to convert to wma or wav. wav is def the best but files can be huge. another option is download the vid convert it to wmv then publish it in HD using windows moviemaker. can be a lot of work for one song but for rare stuff like this its worth it. the version on my laptop is much better quality than this uploaded version. hope that helps.

  • @IDioGenesis you can get the song from groove shark

  • @10995 Google "Youtube to MP3 Converter" and go to pretty much the first one on the list. All you have to do is cut and paste this address (which I am about to do myself oddly enough) and hit convert. Works like a charm.

  • Prince did the damn thang on that! He couldn't help it.

  • i have one thing to say and that is DAMMMMMMNNNNNN

  • i have one thing to say and that is DAMMMMMMNNNNNN

  • Ok Prince haters....now what??

  • @cinbrian28

They will ALL need an enema! LOL'S!

  • @cinbrian28

It's was not the 'Prince' show as he seemed to think that is was, looking for acknowledgment at the end of his solo...he was just another part of a verrrry talented band of muso's...in this he was just another guitarist, any mediocre guitaist could have played his part........IMHO he's an overated little prat!

  • @ElthamPark shut the fuck up. you know nothing about anything

  • @cinbrian28 What Prince haters?

  • @cinbrian28 I was a prince hater.....I got nothin'. Brand new respect for him.....incredible.

  • @TheLittlewing22

this is just the beginning of Prince's talent.....honestly....he plays everything(bass, drums, keys) this well as well as writing some of the greatest songs of his generation....If u can't recognize the brilliance of Purple Rain and Sign O' the Times then u need ur head checked....check those albums out, hes amazing..

  • @cinbrian28 Saw him in Vegas, Prince effing rocks

  • @cinbrian28 love him or hate him, you got to admit, THE BOY CAN PLAY.

  • @cinbrian28 i am no hater, but Prince is about 50x better at performing than at writing music. to some extent it is a shame he wastes his musical abilities on his own stuff...

  • @revpgesq just because YOU don't like the songs that he writes, doesn't mean he doesn't write good songs.

  • This is an official Rock Church selection. Check out our profile for more. Rock bless you.

  • to much talent on that stage and how much dhani looks like his dad is crazy

  • @tommygunz123 He may be a bit of a freak in his personal life but that performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" featured Prince and 8 guys named Moe.

And all 8 Moe's know it -which is why Prince is given about 3 minutes of time to take this song to places Harrison could never imagine, let alone actually perform.

  • My favorite beatles song
