hey i totally feel u in college i had a 3.5 gpa and in university getting Bachelors it was around 3.0 and I graduated at the age of 27. In college I had nothing going on except school but university i had more responsibilities, a relationship and so i think it had an impact. I did a similar video check out ma channel.
tips for college freshman, dont buy any books. google is your friend. seriously though. my professors wanted me to spend like 500 dollars on books. and we never used em.
it's crazy i'm saying this but (maybe it's because i'm from europe) the older you get, the less your grades matter. as you get older, it gets more difficult to get high grades, but it's also less important to have high grades. i'm in uni now, and that's about as high as you can go, so all i have to do is pass! and not think about if i'll get 60-70-80-...% :D
@virginiatechfanx a TA is a teaching assistant. you can raise you hand, but its better to write your question down and visit the professor during office hours
comments on the tests he gives us...it's terrible and now i hate the class! :( What can i do to get a better grade,a higher grade that is? Thank you! :) and sorry if this was too long

@thEbomb341 Hi! thanks for watching! My advice is to: 1. talk to classmates and see if you can get help from them, maybe see their tests and try to find successful methods that they use but you haven’t tried yet. 2.I highly recommend that you request a meeting with the teacher and try to find out what you are doing wrong. Have specific questions to ask, bring tests and materials that way you can keep your cool and gain the teachers respect
@thEbomb341 3. don't just complain, show the teacher that you are concerned and trying to show initiative towards doing better in the class. I know you are worried about your grade but its more important to find another way to approach the issue teachers don't like grade focused students as much as they like student who are trying to understand the material. Good luck and I hope to hear from you again!
Hey,great video! I have a question though.I'm a junior right now and I get As in most let's say in almost all of my classes.Well, there's this 1 class where i get the lowest grade which is ruining all my other As no matter how hard i try. :( And it's weird because all the other guys who have really low and failing grades in the other classes get like As and Bs in this particular class!I get even more frustrated because the teacher is awful,he doesn't explain things,he never ever comments on
Hey! Great video, i'm an incoming freshman and I just found out that one of my teachers(Biology) is really hard.I can't change my teacher because most of the other classes are full now. What should I do?I think when school starts I may be able to switch, but I'm not sure yet. Also I take my classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-4 with an hour and 20 min break in between for lunch, you think this is an okay schedule for a freshman?

@Starlight297 Hey! You should definitely go to the class first, check out the teacher and syllabus and decide if its hard or not for yourself. If you want to, look into switching classes during the add/drop period which is usually the first 10 or so days of classes. If you cant don't worry theres gonna be 100+ kids in the class that can help! And you'll have lots of free time to study. you have a dream schedule lol. just stay on top of planning when you'll do your work. hth! thanks for watching!
also, do you think it's ok to look for a job my first semester or will it be too much juggling school and work.. (although i do need the money to get by :( being poor sucks!
@we315tisini i think taking a part time job is okay. i know plenty of people who figure it out and if it becomes too much you can always quit. trust me you are not alone! "broke college student" is not just a cliche! you may find its not so bad being broke because theres always ladies nights and random free stuff around campus. :)
I'll be taking Calculus for the first time and we need to buy this book that costs like $200! and honestly I CAN'T affrord it! Do you have any tips on how to get used books and stuff
@we315tisini there are plenty of used book websites out there! amazon, ebay, cheapbooks, search the isbn(a code probably provided on the book list) number in your google and see what you find there. some colleges are offering book renting programs where you can get it for super cheap and then you have to turn it back in. also in your school bookstore they may have used copies. hth!
Great tips! I still have a few years until college, but I think it's good to know before you actually go :) I plan to go the the University of British Columbia!
You actually are genuinely beautiful, thanks a ton for your video clip. it is actually unfortunate i'm located within Barnes City because i can't find very good makeup, however i get hold of complimentary samples of make-up from 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i really like Maybelline cosmetics!
Thank you.. This video was very helpful.. I think you should soo do more video's maybe some on college classes vs. high school classes and the work... THANK YOU..
