Not a roll but the aircraft is certainly capable of it.Heck with enough airspace they could do a loop and any other tricks the fighters can do.

I don't think you can class that as a roll. Yes the aircraft went 360 degrees round but he did it in a a way where he went inverted,and remained inverted whilst he regained control of the aircraft then turned the aircraft level again. I personally wouldn't class that as a true 360 degree barrel roll.

that wasnt a true roll it was a modified split s he rolls inverted and then pulls back hard on the stick to regain the airspeed and then completes the roll

@BBQFanNo1 You are wrong. That is a long -standing rumor among those who don't know shit about aerospace. The Russians did one reverse engineering of the B-29 immediately following WWII. From then on, we've usually chased them in aeronautics, producing our own aircraft to counter whatever they built. We've had greater achievements, such as the Apollo missions and SR-71, but we did copy many more of their designs than they did ours. BTW, the TU-160 was and is superior in nearly every way.

If the US were to only have one Bomber out of say .... the B2, B52, B1 Lancer or even the F15 ! which one would be the most valuable to have if only one could be used.

@oriondelta83 , Realy, its the only one able to do mach, 1.5,, the only one built for low level penetration as a primary,, It can use a fighter flight pattern around an airfield , its not sappose to but it can. redflag in nellis was so cool,. The b-52 can do low level but it was not designed for it( even with stv and flr),, well hehe it was not designed to last this long. of course the 60 man hours for every flight hour may have something to do with that. again nothen on the F-15 cuz of the F.

I worked on them for 6 years, not a jet engine mechanic but as a defensive avionics specialist. The motor is actually only used in the B1, but it is a direct mod of the F-16 fighting Falcon engine. The F-15K now uses a pratt and whittney motor, but it used and the SG uses the GE-F110, the B1 uses a GE-F101. Very similar but dif engines. Potatoe and Po-tot-toe......really, not disrespect intended. I defend the bone every chance I can and I do not mean to offend.
