Who else has heard of companies being audited for undocumented workers? This is an Obama administration policy that I actually agree with. I think this could be a very effective tool at weeding out illegal immigrants, if it's being enforced properly. immigrants in the u.s. dont run things but they make things run... say for example, Ca. if the estimated 2,930,000 were to disappear a lot of shit would fall apart. the legal channels to become a citizen of this country take big bucks which the popular majority of Latin Americans could only dream about; therefore, many try to fulfill citizenship by busting their ass earning minimum wage pay in hard labor jobs.

What part of "illegal" alien do people not understand? Just follow the legal channels to become a citizen of this country and you will be granted all the benefits of citizenry. It's that easy. What they are doing by crossing the border is a crime. It should be punished. I'm all for LEGAL immigration. That is how my grandparents got here. I can go to jail for trespassing on my neighbors land yet it's OK for people to illegally cross the border?

@hiphopmecca exactly. I have no problem with immigrants or people wanting to come here for a better/different life. Just follow the rules, it's that simple. Just take the test and become a legal immigrant. We do indeed need immigrants to do the work we don't/wont do. and Americans are getting lazier by the minute, so whats the big deal? Make the rules stick and get on with it. See what happens if you sneak into North Korea. We need to adopt their methods for law breakers.

My friend when your grandparents got here we had about 14 pages of immigration regulations. Today we have 6000 pages. Many immigrants in USA have to wait about 15 years to unite with their families. There are cases when some wait for 23 years!
Our immigration system is not only broke, it is inhumane! And Laws like SB1070 are not helping at all! We need Federal Immigration Reform!

@hiphopmecca First of all, it's not easy. I have family who've applied legally and have been waiting for 20 years. Most of the people who are immigrating to the U.S. are poor unskilled workers cut from their jobs due to NAFTA. So to be a "LEGAL citizen" (like you caps locked it), you have to wait 20 years and be rejected for having nothing to offer America. If you're family starving, that option is in reality bullshit.
