@Pommes1983 The way he has bandaged is correct... As a fitness / boxercise instructor i am appaled someone has posted that up as it is soo dangersous.. With handshoes or not
your starting position for the hand wrap is seriously wrong!! by pulling your thumb in towards your hand you are in risk of making your making your metacarpals clashing with your trapezium clashing with the scaphoid bone which can then break... when wrapping your hands you MUST! pull your thumb away from your hand... as a fitness instructor i thought i would share this information with you all.
@Hendeh10 That depends on your handshoes. I only use handshoes with a fixed thumb and with that it works pretty well. No problem to make impacts with 800 pounds (if you put all your bodypower into your hand with a karatehit).
Never wrap your hands this way. I love everlast equipment but this is completely wrong for boxing. use 180 inch Mexican style wraps for the best protection they're the closest to wrapping like gauze and tape.
A little help With my hand wraps wheni wrap my wrists theres a problem. You see my wrists always really heart and bend when i punch hard but i still wrap them really tight any tighter and my hnd goes blue and numb and still hurts a little. HELP
@ThePrancingStallion well you dont necessarily have to wrap it tighter, just add more layers to your wrist. And if your wrist keeps on hurting you should take it easy with the punches, for example dont punch your hardest, work your way up to punching hard.
Hey, thanks alot. I just recentely purchased an Everlast Heavy bag and it came with the wraps but I've never used them. The other videos on here weren't as clear or as well explained as yours and I wasn't able to finish the wrap because my wrap's a little shorter than everyone elses...you got me hooked up. Much appreciated.
@LunaVarga13 Hi! Yours are not the only ones that seem shorter than everyone elses'! There's no way I can do this much wrapping with the wraps that came standard with the Everlast equipment, I guess I'll have to buy myself a new pair!!
@john2000cash there's two different lengths of wraps. the one he used in the video is 180 where you wrap in between the fingers...I'm assuming the one you have are 108 you wrap them differently than you do 180. You don't wrap between fingers with the 108 because then you run out of fabric. so basically 180 you wrap between fingers and 108 you don't wrap between fingers.
who thought you that punk. giving wrong information. you better go put ribbons around the flowers if you think you can handle that

This is actually wrong because there has to be an open space in the middle of the palm and your wrapping it all sloppy
josuemoon25 1 month ago
Nothing professional about that wrap, plus you sound like derek zoolander.

TheKruRosu 3 months ago
@TheKruRosu I have seen your video, but this tech is better for boxing, because you can close the fist completely without the risk of broken fingers.
Pommes1983 3 months ago
@Pommes1983 but the way he has wrapped it he will break is scaphoid bone! never pull the thumb in towards the hand.. always away..

can these be used for weight lifting?
anuragsharma08 5 months ago
@anuragsharma08 no doubt it would make it more comfortable, but theres plenty of decent leather weightlifting gloves for 15$

@GlenRoyTee yeah makes sense to buy leather gloves instead...thanks :)

@NicksNewHits you are correct
UrbanNinja56 6 months ago
@UrbanNinja56 now i have advanced handwraps and they feel better than my 108 wraps. wud the 180's be better
NicksNewHits 6 months ago
@NicksNewHits its all personal preference just when you have 180 the wrap is long, therefor you wrap it many times and it provides good protection.
