  • You are half right. This netbook may not be fast enough for bluray. I network my full rate bluray files to a Noontech A6 media player - works !

Yes HTPCs are not required now.

  • What was the bitrate?

My buddy's Australian version of the same netbook (1810T) does not play bruray files smoothly, even over HDMI, Using the movie 'Grand Torino' and I expect his playback would have been even worse had he also tried to downconvert the TRUHD / DTSMA to LPCM for the spdif out.

  • hey you have cod modern warfare this laptop run it????

  • could u pls try a youtube HD (flash) video.... i wonder if this lil dual core celeron can handle youtube...

    thanks!

  • click the text in the top-right part of the video right at the start.. it will take you to HD video playback on this machine.

  • I too, would like to see this.

  • i looked for a video of you testing the single core version w/ video , but couldn't find one. did i make a huge mistake buying the su3500 single core version?

  • Yes, yes you did. The su3500 single-core and su2300 dual-core can be had for the same price. But the su2300 dual-core runs much faster.

Here are the Passmark CPU benchmarks:

    AS1410(solo)SU3500 = 490 points

    AS1410(dual core)SU2300 = 750 points

  • hey giantlabs,

thanks for your input. can you point me in the right direction as to where you got those numbers?

  • the one that i was going to purchase instead is acutally the SU7300 and i just wanted to see if it was worth the extra money. any idea about those benchmarks?

  • Intel SU2300 @ 1.30 GHz 750

    Intel SU4100 @ 1.30 GHz 840

    Intel SU7300 @ 1.30 GHz 890

    Intel SU9400 @ 1.40 GHz 930

  • i JUST purchased the version with the su3500 single core processor...should i return it and get this one instead? will i have problems playing video? i did get it for a pretty good price though.

  • I think you should return it. dual core is much better than single core. i just got my new acer 1410 with dual core su2300 cpu. i really like it. i can play video games on it. check out my video.

  • which games are you able to run on it? I don't think netbooked is going to upload a video on games anymore as originally stated.

  • REALFLIGHT G4 R/C Flight Simulator. This thing requires gaming computer but it works on my acer 1410. I will show on my next video upload.

  • could you make a vid plz of the flight simulator

  • Excellent review and info- thank you very much!!

What sort of battery life have you experienced or tested? The specs for the 1410 state "up to 6 hours", but I'm interested in a more "real-world" metric.

  • what about HD streaming from youtube?

  • check my other videos, I covered that earlier.

  • Very informative video! Waiting for the white one in Europe or Us, But will definately wait for Hp DM1 and Asus UL20 to come out, and then we will have options to choose from. I think Hp is going to be good choice also.

  • I will do a test with photoshop. As for COD4 (and other games) I will have another video up tomorrow showing some games.

  • Yes please do :D

Thank you, I've been wanting to see a video about games. Been very curious about that.

  • @netbooked photoshop works fine

  • Thank you so so much!

This is definitely what i'm going to buy!

i'm going to try and hold out for the white version when it hits the UK, if you've got time, can you do a quick test with lightroom2 or photoshop.

i also saw cod4 on your desktop, how does it run?

    thanks again
