I really wish YouTube would get rid of ALL expert village videos. They ALL suck! It's crap like this that the happy homeowner sees then tries to do it themselves. Once they fail (no fault of their own after watching this crap!) it's time to call the reputable contractor (me) to come clean up their 'expert village' mess. Expert Village.......YOU SUCK!

What a mess! Why not just take the bucket and fling as much as you can up onto the ceiling if the roller is not good enough? Those things hold plenty to do a small area to work otherwise, you get a big mound of material that not only looks noobishly applied but it cracks all to hell and usually falls off in chunks under its own weight. troweling even MORE unto the crack only makes it stick out more.

Why in the hell does Kevin at Expert village have to be the only person on yotube who does the textured ceiling videos. His videos lack direction. All of them or only about 1 minute long and he never explains specifics on technique. he doesn't know wht the hell he is talking about. He is definitely an amateur.
