I saw this Valerie Hart in an interview. She is a cloistered nun now by the way. She said that when they were making their movie together & they were alone together, all he wanted to do was talk about the Bible. He was an old Pentacostal, Assemblies of God boy; like Jerry Lee Lewis. The relationship between Pentacostalism & Rock is a subject worthy of exploration.

@VictorLepanto All I know of Jimmy Swaggart's lust is from his infamous 1988 scandal (though I just found on Wikipedia allegations of pedophilia--surprise, surprise!), whereas Jerry Lee talked about pussy frequently and crassly, and Elvis' indulgence, though much more discreet, is also notorious. Whether their indulgences were "extraordinary" considering their access to groupies, I wouldn't characterize them as pious. Elvis was more of a religious poseur.

@VictorLepanto "Loving You" was released in 1957. Elvis apparently became more interested in worldly pleasures through the years. What you call gossip comes from many sources who were close to Elvis. I don't doubt a bit that he was a profligate fornicator. Check your rose colored glasses. I don't doubt his sincere interest in Christianity, but, like many, it was a sideline for him. He did what he wanted to do. If one truly believes, he doesn't keep disobeying God.

I'm still in touch with Valerie Allen. She has nothing but praise for Elvis, says he was a great guy. . At the time of this home movie, she was being groomed as "the next Ava Gardner" by Paramount but then the studio system collapsed. She was married to Troy Donahue for a few years in the 1960's.

Why are they putting Elvis down about the guitar? Elvis DID play the guitar--all the time. Look at Lawdy Miss Glawdy and That's Alright Mama on my channel, any of the "unplugged" sessions from the 68 special, to see Elvis play the guitar and "fierce" as one poster put it! Valerie Allen is the girl in these pictures that Elvis dated, and has that "bad girl" look Elvis liked. Annette had more of a girl next door look. Dolores was an innocent girl and just a friend who was engaged to another man when she went into the convent. Certain people have tried to say Elvis and Judy Spreckles dated, and use it to denigrate him by saying they didn't do it, but she said herself they were friends and she was never one of his girlfriends so why would they be doing it?
