Love the video, it's so cool that you have it and are sharing it. What I do hate however are comments made by people that don't really address the video but turn into arguments that will never change anyone's already made up mind. It wears me out having to go through all that junk and name calling to read thoughtful comments about the clip. I make it a policy to delete comments like this on my site.
cut out this bullcrap.who are all these bible thumpers even watching or comenting on this video. why do you have the right to judge people. you know who the only one who can judge is.please keep your judgements to yourself. how can you judge anyone untill you walk in his shoes. please keep your hippocrit comments off this video. thanks
It's so strange seeing these silent videos of people that have long been dead. Not all of them are dead, I know, but seeing some of them (including Elvis) alive and having fun is ghostly in a way.
I saw this Valerie Hart in an interview. She is a cloistered nun now by the way. She said that when they were making their movie together & they were alone together, all he wanted to do was talk about the Bible. He was an old Pentacostal, Assemblies of God boy; like Jerry Lee Lewis. The relationship between Pentacostalism & Rock is a subject worthy of exploration.
@juslookin3: Despite my natural tendency & having come up w/ a few quips to your remark, I won't follow you in your vulgarism. Though as a former Pentacostal, I can't refute your association. You didn't even mention Jerry Lee's nearly as famous cousin. I don't think you can prove any extraordinary appetite in that regard.
@VictorLepanto All I know of Jimmy Swaggart's lust is from his infamous 1988 scandal (though I just found on Wikipedia allegations of pedophilia--surprise, surprise!), whereas Jerry Lee talked about pussy frequently and crassly, and Elvis' indulgence, though much more discreet, is also notorious. Whether their indulgences were "extraordinary" considering their access to groupies, I wouldn't characterize them as pious. Elvis was more of a religious poseur.
@juslookin3: It was the sexual appetites of Elvis which I was doubting as their being "extraordinary." I was carelessly vague w/ that sentence. You should review this lady's account of the movie she made w/ Elvis. A poseur doesn't talk about the Bible when he is alone in a room w/ a pretty girl. His ears don't turn red from simply kissing her either. You should pay less attention to gossip.
@VictorLepanto "Loving You" was released in 1957. Elvis apparently became more interested in worldly pleasures through the years. What you call gossip comes from many sources who were close to Elvis. I don't doubt a bit that he was a profligate fornicator. Check your rose colored glasses. I don't doubt his sincere interest in Christianity, but, like many, it was a sideline for him. He did what he wanted to do. If one truly believes, he doesn't keep disobeying God.
@juslookin3: Perhaps I am dealing another wayward Pentacostal boy, it is beginning to seem. The juxtaposition of vulgarity & judgementalism is telling. People can be deeply conflicted & double minded. A mere hypocrit who pretends to be one thing & is really something else is not like a man who hopes to live as one thing but is weak & falls short. Most of us are the 2nd man.
Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is IMPOSSIBLE, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
@juslookin3: Really? I great to know a morally perfect saint. Why do you even bother quoting scripture? So much of it was written by Paul & even he talked about the 2 men inside of him. The man of sin & the man of faight fights for control in each of us, or atleast the rest of us.
Rather then putting up facade of vulgar bitter self righteousness, you'd do well to address what deep seated issues drive you to strike such a self righteous pose.
@VictorLepanto Just speaking the truth, straight from the Holy Bible. Do you consider that book to be a "facade of vulgar bitter self righteousness?" We all sin, but there is a big difference between moments of doubt, pride, vanity, anger, etc.--and adultery, fornication, divorce, blasphemy, etc. No one "accidentally" fornicates repetitively. Like Swaggart, such hypocrites act like God isn't there, and only repent when caught by man. They use God to serve themselves. You?
@fortheloveofivy84 But since you only "think" it's one of E's cousins-I'm still going to think it's Bobby Hatfield. This guy just looks too much like him for me not to believe it's him.
I'm still in touch with Valerie Allen. She has nothing but praise for Elvis, says he was a great guy. . At the time of this home movie, she was being groomed as "the next Ava Gardner" by Paramount but then the studio system collapsed. She was married to Troy Donahue for a few years in the 1960's.
Why are they putting Elvis down about the guitar? Elvis DID play the guitar--all the time. Look at Lawdy Miss Glawdy and That's Alright Mama on my channel, any of the "unplugged" sessions from the 68 special, to see Elvis play the guitar and "fierce" as one poster put it! Poster nktrygg is obsessed with pot smoking, and there is always some "more footage." Why would anybody care if he did? But it is unlikely at this kind of innocent party!
Valerie Allen is the girl in these pictures that Elvis dated, and has that "bad girl" look Elvis liked. Annette had more of a girl next door look. Dolores was an innocent girl and just a friend who was engaged to another man when she went into the convent. Certain people have tried to say Elvis and Judy Spreckles dated, and use it to denigrate him by saying they didn't do it, but she said herself they were friends and she was never one of his girlfriends so why would they be doing it?
Also, in a day when "good girls" held out until marriage, and the men had "bad girls" on the side a few known 1950s Elvis "bad girls" were stripper Tempest Storm, ultimate bad girl Tura Satana, and B-movie actress Jeannie Carmen who tells some funny stories about Elvis on YT.
How a movie actress left Hollywood for a contract with God
She gave Elvis Presley his first on-screen kiss, was as beautiful as Grace Kelly and broke box office records.
Dolores Hart recalled that when she and Elvis were supposed to kiss, they blushed. "My ears started getting purple, and even his ears started getting purple," she recalls. "They brought everybody over to brush our ears down with, um, paint or whatever it is." (ABC 20/20)
I would love to have been in that room.
Anyway, this is great.
Thanks for sharing.

@VictorLepanto As is the relationship between Pentacostalism and fornication since we all know how much Elvis and Jerry Lee loved lots of pussy.
