  • the restoration looks amazing, very thorough job, i especially like how well the powertraing looks. the one thing i wouldve changed, as many people have said, is the colour scheme. I believe the factory red colour was probably the best looking colour on them. i am also 15, and my grandfather has one which i would LOVE to do the same thing to. once again nice job

  • GREAT JOB!!

but whats the big circle thing after the transfer case?

i´m restoring one to and it doesn´t have that thing in there!!

  • beautiful willys. my 48 restoration project is still a work in progress, but it looks nowhere near as good as yours, nor will it, as I spend a lot of time riding it through the woods... but I digress. again, congratulations on your beautifully done restoration.

  • @bgirmus I saw it in the magazine, and, ummm..... well, idk.

  • @espdeangibson seeing that article made me want a jeep.

  • Fantastic Job!

  • Good job man definitely!!

  • We are restoring a 1946 CJ2A and a numbers matching 1947. It looks good but I don't like the color LOL. Whats the numbers for it???

  • @GSGTBaker

The color is an original factory color scheme: Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. The s/n is 46191. However, the engine is a replacement out of a wrecked 1946. The original block was cracked. The Jeep by no means has matching numbers. However, this project saved a lot of parts from going to scrap.

  • @bgirmus

    the 46's s/n is 44473 and the 47 is 143706

Our 46 is missing to many pieces so we are restoring it to a point. we are going to paint it up like a service station truck. Orange and Black with super test on it.

  • I started restoring a 1964 1/2 mustang when I was 16. Still going at it 2 years later.

I want to restore one of these old Willys as my next project.

  • good job...

  • Sweet!

  • hey thats a 1946 world war 2 jeep that saw action in the war when he first took pictures of it in junk form i noticed bullet holes. anyway thats the car i hope i can drive in a few years

  • @hughesjonathand no its not, thats a cj "civilian jeep" they were never used by the military. but it is a great restoration good job bgirmus

  • Does anyone know where to get a good unaltered CJ3A frame? Please let me know where, (website would be great if it's a business, or post your video of it if it's a personal item). Please let me know how much it is, and where it would be shipped from so shipping pricing can be figured out.

    Thanks so much!

  • Great work, well done.

  • holley hell my porry jeep looks like a peast of shit up to your nices ride i whod have drive the to gradutions the year nice ride and coler

  • Nice job man. Im just finishing up my CJ3a project, but its not a restore, just wanted to get it running and driving well enough to have fun with.

  • nice but why did you put your axles over your leafsprings

  • Because that is how the Jeep came from the factory

  • cant argue bout that

  • plse tell me where you got the military tires my uncle and i bought a 1946 willys CJ-2A and we need tires

  • where did you get all the parts from?

  • Multiple suppliers. Primarily Walck's 4WD in Pennsylvania.
