  • how did you tie the scarf you were wearing on your head in the beginning? before the satiny one, although that looked very nice too...

  • @rpjpjpjbb just laid it on my head and threw the ends over my shoulder. :)

  • Great video!! xDDDD your facial expressions are epic XD

  • @TiffanyBunne: The song that starts at 0:40 and ends at 3:50 is called "Whispering", and it's by the Paul Whiteman Orchestra.

  • You're amaaaaazing!!!!!!!

  • I'm in love with the music! Can you please tell me the name of it?

  • Bottom lashes really? Never tried! I love Clara...

  • you are so talented!!

  • I absolutely love this, it looks really cute!

  • This is brilliant- thanks so much for sharing, we're massive Clara fans!

    <3

  • Wow! You did a GREAT job. I'm doing the lips for Halloween, what would you recommend for my relatively small lips??

  • @UberObsessed use the same technique. You can see it on someone w/ small lips in my 'Basic FIngerwaves' video.

  • Very creative, it looks great. This calls for a trip to Michael's! :)

  • Unbelievable! I love it. Did you cut the ends of it, or was it like that originally?

  • @blondedomination Oh...the one on my head at the end? That's not a scarf that's a ribbon. It's just a wide ribbon and yes I cut the ends. :)

  • OMG LOVE THIS! Where did you find a scarf like that?

  • @blondedomination it was just a random Wal Mart scarf. Amazing what editing and styling can do for such an insignificant item, huh? LOL

  • The video from Breton2Robert called: Colorful And Irresistible Clara Bow. Its very good and colorful

  • Love it!

  • I LOVE this look! I can't wait to try it out!

  • superb- amelia Roberson

  • how do u do your scarf like that? it's so classy! i looked around youtube and can't find a 1920s scarf tutorial.

  • specifically, the scarf style that you use while doing your makeup, not the one at the end

  • Oh I seriously just threw it up there. Keeping the scarf long, lay it over your head and then throw the two ends over the opposite shoulders. Then pull the ends back over one shoulder, if you like. :)

  • Oh wow, definately one of the best tutorials I've viewed. Like the fact that it was just like a 1920s film, what with no sound and music only. Bravo.

  • faved

  • what do you cover your brows with ?

    thank you soooooo much

    SUBBED

  • An Elmer's glue stick that dries clear. See my Jean Harlow tutorial in this series to actually see it done. :) Thanks for the sub.

  • Thank you so much for this! Very well done :)

  • How well does the makeup look in color? Cause Im think about doing this look for school one day and I dont know if I should do the make-up exactly like that.

  • Like a drag queen. LOL...go to my Greta Garbo makeup tutorial...I do a quick shot of it in color towards the end...these looks don't translate well in color, unfortunately. haha.

  • very cool!! :)

  • I do like Clara Bow style I really like the one photo of her where she is wear a headband across her head. However I cannot find a big enough photo to print so that I can take it to the salon?

  • Salon? We don't need no stinking salongs...:) Why can't you do this yourself? Do you mean you want her haircut?

  • hi

    love the vidoe!!!

really helped me with my college project!!!

    xx

  • lol i got 0:25 as my desktop background

  • Great video!

  • say you want to do this for halloween because no one knows anything about the real 1920's look at my school -_- and i dont want to pluck my eyebrows that thin should i use foundation to hide my eyebrows then draw my own or what?

  • You need to cover them...see my Jean Harlow tutorial in this same series to see how...or visit Blanche Babcock's channel for his video that explains the technique I use.

  • got it thank u

  • Love the vintage videos. Excellent! :)

  • Clara Bow was a good actress. I read a book about her, she was born in 1905 in the slums of New York. She had a nervous breakdown about the time she made a few sound films, and some kook said a bunch if lies about her and she had to go to court. She married a man named Rex (I can't think of his last name) They had two sons and she died in 1962 at age 57.

  • I posted a blog entry about her...there are a few more facts there. Thanks!

  • You are so stinking beautiful! I think you pull of nearly anything retro/vintage. Jealous! lol

  • I love that too !

  • Sombody marked your comment as spam? I wonder why? I posted it as 'Not Spam'..

  • lol some people are weird lol

  • I'm so glad I have a natural cupid's bow, when everyone else has to draw inside/outside their lips to get the cupid's bow, I don't.

  • I loved her in IT. I want to copy her hair from that movie.

  • Wow!

    That is Clara Bow exactly!

    You're pretty friggin amazing.

I can't wait for Greta Garbo..i've been looking for a tutorial on her for so incredibly long!

  • Pretty good! Nice job- can't wait for the next one :)!

  • super cute! i love it!

  • Looks great :D love the scarf too. Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

  • Wal Mart! Can you believe it? I thought it was kinda 'era-concious' :) Actually my hair before I put it up is also very 1920's...didnt realize that until afte the editing. :)

  • Oh wow! that is awesome :) it was a great look before and after :D keep up the great work!

  • Looks amazing, as usual. I'm so happy I have a little time to spend online now so I can check out your videos :)

  • I love the 1920's although I usually get my makeup inspiration from the late 40s and 50s. What song is in this tutorial? I really like old time jazz.

  • Three songs from the Paul Whiteman orchestra...Whispering, My Blue Heaven, and Lady Be Good.

  • Came out very true to Clara! And i love your acting at the end of makeup!

  • That was beautifully done!! I absolutely loved it! oh and gorgeous son by the way lol.

  • That was swell , doll!

  • You always look incredible, dear, but the greatest thing about this video is that lovely little blond head "making an appearance" right behind you.

    SOOOOO CUTE!

  • hee hee...Victor was very busy that morning. I hate that I look so oblivious to his presence in the video...but I swear, it's the editing. I wasnt ignoring him! LOL
