Correct. Keeping the gear train was important. It still does not run as well as I would like as it doesn't really like to balance on its hind wheels. That's why you see so few 4-4-0 locos on model railroads -- they are too hard to balance fore and aft.

Thanks for putting this up, I suppose the forward/middle cab gives you more space to put weight in the centre of the loco.
