@Kolashov It depends, I punch at about 4 punches per second. In a real fight I'll definitely hit harder and a little less fast. But some of these hits just entirely distract your opponent. When you are on the receiving side of this hail, you don't know whats happening. You're hit all over the place, but can't even see it.
You don't hit at full strength in training either. So yes I would say it is effective, but not particularly in the way it's demonstrated. Bu it's great training.

it would have been cooler if at the end of the video he accidentally chopped the guy in the neck crushing his windpipe and killing him. but it just kind of falls flat and is uninspiring.
