Damn if we only lived in a perfect world ! I know i could use some training .... But then again it would'nt be my style. If i sang threw my nose and made millions like Willy nelson would i be wrong ? BTW she was very good and the teacher on her game .
@quiet1234 - saying Speech Level Singing is adapted from Bel Canto is one of the biggest lies and myths told by Seth Riggs (he has others). Bel Canto and SLS are very different in a number of ways. Seth Riggs said it was adapted from Bel Canto to make it sound legitimate. I know both techniques and there are glaring differences.
@RocktheStageNYC Yep thats a great way to get publicity for your singing teaching business. Trash someone far more successful than you :) Maybe you should do a video to back up those claims at the Very least u could write an article bout it. I know little of Bel Canto, read something by Herbert Cessari, and say a few videos from Pavarotti and some Italian teachers of Bel Canto, but the little I saw looked pretty similar. Also a small video but still:
@quiet1234 cant post the link but "Luciano Pavarotti & Seth Riggs" small comparison an idea from bel canto, doesnt prove much but im curious to know what other "Lies" and "myths" Seth Riggs has told and Im sure many others would like to see a comparison between SLS and Bel Canto.
@quiet1234 - Pavarotti is talking about covering and Seth Riggs is yelling about modified vowels. Seth Riggs likes to talk about his celebrity clients like Michael Jackson & Stevie Wonder like he taught them to sing when in fact ALL he did was teach them how to maintain their voices on tour. Both artists were very successful and well established in their careers before Seth Riggs met them. The other baffling thing about Seth Riggs is how come there are no examples of him singing songs?
@quiet1234 - um you have no idea how successful I actually am - BUT anyway it is well known within the teaching circles that Seth Riggs is a bit of a "tall tale teller" and has stretched the truth about his own accomplishments on more than one occasion.
I know A LOT about Bel Canto having had a mother who used it in her own singing career. There is very little similar between Bel Canto & SLS except for maintaining a loose neck and neutral larynx. Other than that they stray far apart.
One upload on a channel and it gets over 14,000 hits for a singer nobody knows. ?????????

Yeh its not her technique though is it? Its Speech level singing, a technique Seth Riggs founded adapted from the classic bel canto technique.

A demo after one "lesson"?! Whatever happened to spending time instructing and helping people improve their singing?
