Yes, NM is awesome, you can feel the great spirit, power.. I visited many countries, but US Southwest has something what your heart and spirit can feel..I miss that land and its spirit.. Where even trees can speak, you feel it with the heart! Be blessed NM! All love from one european visitor!

I have a lot of respect for Robert Mirabal, I find his music to be very inspirational. I have wanted to travel to Taos but unfortunately I have only been to Santa Fe. Even than, if it wasn't for a trip to New Mexico, I would not be the artist I am today. I may not be native american, but you don't have to be to feel it deep inside. That is what I was taught when I was there. Creativity has no limits, music has no bounds, and life is limitless. The only thing that can stop us, is ourselves.

I wish Native Americans could live amongst the rest of us and not feel as though they have to be on reservations, or be 2nd class citizens if they *do* live amongst us. I never see any Native Americans where *I* live in Ohio... Wish I could meet at least 1. I may be 1/16 or... 1/32 - I can't remember which. LOL But... I feel SO connected through Native American music... ugh!! :)

Gee I played this song medicine man for the doctors in cali, L.A. in the Surgery Unit, they stood still with this song, calm, happy, less stressed. Like it touched their spirit. I was so happy to be a part of that, they never seem to look outside their world their lived in, They loved the song, they would ask can you please play that again. I am glad my journey finished their, and now I am on another journey but Mirabal's music is very unique Praise God.

Wow Beatriz, I'm so sorry to hear that your visit to AZ was not as favorable as it could have been. I'm hoping it was an isolated case.

I grew up in AZ close to many reservations and have looked eye to eye with many different tribal members. There was only smiles and warmth and kindness. I hope your next visits will be as lovely as i know them. I have also enjoyed visiting many of the 19 northern pueblos in New Mexico as well and loved every minute.

Maybe our souls are not native or or non-native...and certainly Robert comes from the soul and speaks to it and has no prejudice that I have ever witnessed. He is a blessed presence in our community and the world. I see him driving around in his old truck and he's just a real person, a community member of the Pueblo, yes, but also of the family of humankind. He gets that.

I have great love & respect for our Native Americans even though their hearts are broken from the things that have happened to them & rightly so. I hope that all Native Americans will rise again & take back what was stolen from them. America is broken & who better to fix the broken heart then the people who have tended to her for generations?
