Roided out Chris, characters with no prior mention in the series (both in 4 and 5), no Umbrella, no zombies, T-virus is gone, completely different gameplay that no longer resembles the survival horror genre, the list goes on.

It'd be a good stand alone game, yes. It just hurts a classic RE fan like me that this crap is canon. You're entitled to think whatever tho--as is anyone else.

RE5 would be a good action game yes, the dialogue was good, animation was beautiful, and the story was good. However, for us old school RE fans, this doesnt really spell out a Resident Evil game. The red thing was controlling her, and Jill didn't actually have "super powers" but was just a lot stronger. Once the red device was removed she returned to normal. I LOVE JILL!

I've always tough that would be an awesome game. Finally, we will learn more about Wesker, Umbrella, etc... I never played it so I don't know about it.
