The original prototype which beat Concorde into the air by 3 months but had to be redesigned and the redesigned Tu 144 D,S & LL ( at 1.33) which had a new fuselage, wing, nose, tailplane, landing gear and new repositioned engines plus a canard added for takeoff and landing stability. The aircraft at 1.36 is a Concorde.

Concorde was more like a technology demonstration rather than a true transporter..Same goes for Tu144 but Soviets were way to practical to keep developing a so expensive and impractical aircraft so they let it go. The tu-144 was not an ideal aircraft to carry passengers. It was so unbearably noisy inside the cabin that passengers had to send hand-written notes to each other to communicate! Also, it was pretty unreliable. In 102 flights, it suffered from at least 226 failuers, 86 in the air. It may have been better if it wasn't rushed into service.

It did fly before the concorde but the russian guy named Sergei Fabiew was arrested and he confessed to stealing the concorde plans for russia. So the tupolev was a copy of the concorde. well concorde was safer and it had a better range because it didnt have to have re heat on more frequently, it crashed once and was more luxury etc..
the tu 144 was a little bit faster than concorde as the tu144 could reach 1.518 mph and concorde 1,488 mph which is around 20mph more not to be exact lol
the tu 144 is the man of sst's but concorde is the women beautiful queen of the skys sleek and is remarkably one of the most best looking man made things of the world so to me CONCORDE has won

This intelligence allowed the Russians to get ahead and save a lot of time to develop their own aircraft.
