there are many methods to this effect...

the best way to learn these methods is at your local magic shop they have books and such, that will help you to perform this effect..just tell them you are interested in turning a match into a flower....

in uncovering a magic trick, you just need to look at every aspect of the trick and ask your self WHY? to everything.

WHY? is his camera placed up so high?

WHY? is he holding the match through out the whole trick?

WHY? is flash paper used?

WHY?WHY?WHY!?

ANSWER: you figure it out!
