  • Comment removed

  • where did u find tht terrarium i have a iguana do you know anywhere i can get the large size anyone plz reply soon

  • Girl! That tank is AWESOME! But I bet you spent a fortune for all the Exo-Terra products... they should offer you sponsorship and some free products!

  • i love their paterns when their older, but then they get all green and boring

  • is 45x45x45 terrarium is good for any sort of snake?

  • How do u get those vines to hang. do they have suction cups

  • Hi! This video is a couple years old, so I hope you get a chance to read/answer this for me ;)

I notice you use the Medium Compact Top, and if I understand correctly, it holds 3 bulbs; in your case a 5.0 UVB, a 2.0 UVA and a Heat lamp. Are you using the heat lamp in the same fixture? If so, which size do you use, and does it maintain a nice heat gradient in your terrarium? It says a 5watt above, but I'm guessing that was supposed to be 50/75watts? Thanks!

  • could i use one of the x-large terrariums for a redtail boa ?

  • @aarongil17 Not for long, You will need a 6 x 2 x 2 feet vivarium when they get full size...

  • Sheee seeems verryyyy happpy :)

  • I created a site, showmyreptile com, where you can upload pics, videos, start discussions, chat w/ other members, and start groups. Looking for members, would love for you to join. Thanks!

  • wow big terrarium !

  • simply beautiful!

  • is she agressive

  • Very Nice!! :)

  • haha you must be an exo terra sales person....

i want to buy an exo terra tarraium for my albino too

  • Isn't this setup a little too big for a snake that size? I heard some GTPs would sometimes pick security over hydration if the perches are too far away from a water bowl...

  • @HitomiNoRyu- That's true! However; her cage has so many branches that she can pick her branch from any distance from the actual water dish and still get hydrated, because a lot of times they will drink water off their scales from misting (or rain in the wild). In her cage she has a misting system that sprays her whole cage every 6 hours, so I'm not worried about her not getting enough water! But she's fairly active, and gets on the ground during the night a lot!

  • @Jocelynmparris

    Oh that's good~!

  • How did you attach the jungle vines to the top of the tank? I just bought a medium sized exo terra terrarium for my Jungle Carpet Python and I can't seem to keep the vines up to where he can climb on them.

  • @Midnight2534 If you tear the ends off the branches, it reveals a wire that you can twist with a pair of needle nose and just loop it through the wire mesh at the top of the cage! That's what I did and it still holds her, even now that she's about 10x the size she was in this video!

  • @Jocelynmparris Is the mesh wire strong enough to hold a 4.5ft JCP?

  • @Midnight2534 - It should be! It depends on how many vines he/she is across- If you put up enough vines (say about 5+) then it will distribute it's weight across all the vines and it will pull at the mesh evenly with weight distribution. If you notice that the wire mesh is starting to droop down or something or you just don't trust it- you can buy a piece of plexiglass and has it cut to the exact size of the top and put it on top of the mesh and drill holes into the plexiglass and (cont.)

  • @Jocelynmparris - (cont.) through the mesh and throught the plexiglass and back through so it's reinforced through both the wire and plexiglass (which will also hold more moisture for your CP.

  • Im sure princess Zelda wont get homesick xD Because she is at home!

  • What is Exo Terra???

  • Yes, CB means captive bred, or captive born. Opposed to WC meaning wild caught.

  • What does CB mean? Does it mean "captivity born," because I bought two baby "C.B." Red Eyed Tree Frogs and I could not find out what that ment. Could you please tell me? THANKX! By the wayI like your snake and your setup is so awesome, I wish I was creative enough AND had enough money to do that, I will soon get it!

  • I'm the 15 000 view! Sweet!

  • I really love your setp the snake is beautiful. The viv look massive.

  • Im jealous!!

  • Would a Trouser Snake do well in there? sorry I had to make that joke.... hehe Nice tank though! And I love that you named your snake Zelda.

  • @skeevystoner You are a skeevy stoner! Go Jay and Silent Bob!!

  • awesome cage and beautiful snake,is she in her green color yet?

  • @Reptiles4723- Actually she is about 1.5yrs old and she's orange/red now with white and green spots on her head and down her back, but no solid green yet!!

  • cool set and that snake looks cool

  • @mintrev Thanks!

  • i love that type of snake i want 1 sooooo bad and awsome set up looks so real where can i get that type of snake?

  • @TheCactus5 Try Ben Seigal Reptiles, I believe in Florida, she was overnight shipped to me.

  • What do you do at NIGHT?

  • Where did the big branch come from? Who makes that, I mean?

  • The big branch you can get at almost any pet store (i.e. PetSmart and Pet Co) I believe that All Living Things makes it, but I'm not sure about that! Next time I see one I will check and repost!

  • im guessing u like the zelda games

  • howd u get vines to stay on screen on top???

  • I cut the ends of the vines off to reveal the wire underneath and then looped them through the top and back through the top screen since its mesh- It's really easy, just be sure to not let the ends of the wire poke out so your animal can't cut its self on it!

  • what mister are u using?

  • I use the HabaMister 15 seconds, every 6 hours-

  • is this the medium exo terra rainforest habitat kit?

  • Yes, plus additional plants, and about 5 packages of vines-

  • Hey. This is a really cool setup!. Do you think it would work for a full grow Veiled Chameleon.? Or would i need a bigger cage?

  • I'm not sure about Veiled chameleons-- I've never owned one, so I wouldn't be a good person to ask! Sorry :(

  • Hey. This is a really cool setup!. Do you think it would work for a full grow Veiled Chameleon.? Or would i need a bigger cage?

  • cool setup :)

  • is this snake dangerous when she bites ?

  • Not really! I get bit by her almost everytime I get her out of the cage whether that be to handle her, or clean her cage or whatever- part of that it because i don't reg. hold her and I feed her in her cage, but she's a good girl for a GTP- she's lost a lot of her redness and she;s getting all her green spots, but right now she's all red/orange with white and green spots, really cool! I want to do another video, but my cameria is broken :(

  • @Jocelynmparris She is more than likely a Biak GTP which are the more aggressive ones but with lots of handling you can tame them to where they don't bite. mine has never bit me but i handle her for a hour a day at least and have since she was 6 weeks old.

  • I'm going to be setting up a live-plant terrarium (no animals though since I'm headed off to college this fall), and I'm not sure of the lighting that I should use. I was thinking of using the Exo Terra Repti Glo 5.0 fluroescent lamp (26 watt), but I have no reference for how well it would light my terrarium, which is a hexagonal tank about 24 inches tall and 16 inches wide. It's going to be a tropical terrarium, so I wonder if that particular bulb would be too dim for such a large tank. Advice?

  • Sorry, such a late response! that sounds like a good idea, the light should be more than enough for plants, if not you can always put in a window or somewhere where it'll get more natural light as well- I'm not an expert in plants, but you should def. get a Venus Fly Trap (sp?) because they are awesome and beautiful!

  • @Jocelynmparris i think you shoulld put lots of colors and beautiful, different looking plants. add some small rocks, and you've got a beautiful terrarium!

  • nice setup. the snake looks so so tiny in that tank though =P so cute

  • Great setup and nice biak, please make an update vid :-) !!!!

  • wow shes stunning.

  • nice snake and setup and for the funny tvshop presentation , order now get a snake hook for free. cheers

  • i like the way you showed us everything and very nice snake :D:D:D:D

  • Great Terrarium I Love it

  • get us an update on your snake.

  • Great setup and snake, but I'd take the heat rock if you really love your pet, hate to see die from from internal burns.

  • That is one beautiful snake !

  • awesome setup! your snake is cool, how big will she get?

  • She won't get very big, about 5-6ft long and about a silver dollar around... She's gotten a lot bigger already! She's still super bright red, too! I <3 her!

  • wat size is yo snake an how much yo setup cost an snake

  • This feels like an Exo-Terra commerical..lol..

  • This set up looks great. The only thing I would recommend is cutting the cord from the heat rock and using it for decoration only. These are notorious for slow burning reptiles over long periods of time due to the Heat/pain nerve conduction in reptiles being far different than in mammals. For more info I would be happy to explain stuff to ya, just message me. After 25 years of snake keeping I have made every mistake possible and am happy to help people prevent the same mistakes. --Toons

  • Agreed, I was buying that at my local petstore but luckily the seller was honest and told me about the burning of some lizards.

  • u the girl of "expertvillage" u really sound lik her

  • lol, ya kinda. But the expert village girl really needs to get her facts right.

  • Yehh, haha :)

  • How did you get the vines to stay in the top of the screen?

  • I pulled back the green plastic part from the ends and there is wire under that- I took the wire and looped it through the top screen (which is wire mesh) with the end facing outside so that it can't scratch her. Works like a charm!

  • im thinking about buying a biak but im just wondering how long you can leave them alone when you go on a trip or something the automatic repti fogger sounds good but how long does the water last before it needs changed

  • some animals get so lucky to have a place where ppl actually take such good care of them :)

  • Nice setup it looks awesome.Keep up the good work. Was a pleasure to view.

  • I love your setup. I'm consiedering doing something similar for my carpet python. Do you strip the whole lot down monthly to clean?

  • I clean her's out everyweek. I just wait until mid-day to do it while she's sleeping bc she's nocturnal, but removing her from the cage would cause a lot of stress because they're not handled usually, so I just transfer her to another branch and leave her in the cage and take everything else out to clean, wipe down the glass, change the bedding ect. Once or twice a month would probably be good for a carpet python, but GTP have high humidity so I don't want any mold to grow so I clean it more.

  • I've been looking through terrarium videos for quite awhile and that has to be the best one I've seen so far. Your snake has very beautiful coloring. I myself have been considering getting a Green Tree Python and I would definitly try my best to make a setup like yours.

  • Aww, thanks! Getting a GTP started is kind of hard with getting them to eat, getting right temp, right humidity, etc. But after you get them going and they get into a stable routine, their super easy to take care of! I love my girl, she's a typical semi-agressive nature, but I've never been bit by her! Good luck in finding one! Let me know if you need any help!

  • If you don't have anything NICE to say, don't comment or I'm going to delete it. So don't waste your time leaving bitchy comments.

  • nice snake

  • Nice Cool Setup n snake

  • Awesome colors and and great habitat. best of luck to you.

  • Great video!! ;) and awesome terrarium!!
