  • Bach music sounds wonderful in every kind of instrument...

  • On one of the Classical albums, it is said that it seems that the works transposed (in final form) seemed to be meant to be be played on that wonderful new media (The Moog). Here now, you have just proved it again! And, that modern digital hardware can indeed mimic the character of their analog fore-bearers. Bravo!

  • Okay, this is COOL! It's nice to hear something in the style of Carlos once again! Great job, lot;'s of fun! Thanks for posting this. Thumbs up and a favorite!

  • goood job greetings, xio is cheap but very good synth!!

  • name of song pliss

  • I just love Bach played on a synth.

  • Ooohhhh,I love it. More please.

  • If I hadn't known who the synthesist was, I would've guessed Wendy Carlos, a'la "The Well-Tempered Synthesizer"!

  • it would be cool if you did the theme from 'A Clockwork Orange' -- Henry Purcell's 'Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary'

  • this is better than wendy's, it reminded me of Isao Tomita. You are very talented, keep it up :)

  • Very Cool. I mean, this brands you a nerd for life, but there's nothing wrong with that. :)

  • Great job guy !!!

Good choice of the chorales and spirited interpretation.

    Friendly congratulations !!!

  • Very nice.

  • Jesus?

  • Impressive. Program the sounds yourself yes?

  • Indeed!

The XioSynth, although it's sort of different to tweak than most virtual analogue synthesizers, have a lot of nice sound generation features! :)

  • Don't I know it :) I own one and love programming it.

  • Heh! :) It's fun when you get the hang of it (that little menu button :P) and start playing around with FM and pitch mod :)

I'm considering of making a free preset bank out of my sounds. Have about 35+ now. :)

  • Yeh, check out mine :) I made a whole bank and have released them free. I didn't use FM so much cause I couldn't get decent sounds out of it most of the time but am sticking with it. :) What do you mean pitch mod?

  • FM in small values can greatly contribute to the fatness of the sound, but just be careful never to detune the two FM oscillators apart except from octaves :P

Pitch mod - like changing the pitch of the oscillators with the mod env :)

  • Will have to try that FM trick, that might be why my sounds were sounding really odd... applying it to detuned waves - eek! Arrgh I see, yeh, Oscillator Sync 1 and 2 and then pitch mod the second oscillator. Instant Gratification! Haha.

  • I found that you can actually produce some pretty convincing models of strings with the pitch mod, FM and noise! :)

    Both with bow and pizzicato!

  • I haven't tried physically modelling bowed strings but I got really good pizzicato ones :D I'd love to hear these bowed strings!
