I have the welded chambered thrush mufflers on my big block car and they sound the same way. people dont really notice it until the 4 barrel opens and then heads turn like the second coming of jesus
I put these on my 79 trans am. Mine sound like yours at idle but when i step on it, it actually quiets down and just gives a low drone and not an all out WOT sound. I think its because i didnt change the pipes that came with the car and they arent mandrel bent and are full of kinks. Anyways i heard these were exact copies of the flowmaster 40s and now companies like summit and thrush are copying them because flows 20 year copywrite ran out. Great deal for the money.
yeah really great deal. flowmaster still sound a little better, but for $30 each I will take these any day over the flowmasters... i got a pair of 3" in/out ones on my car.
