How to remove rust

now i have a little boat gas tank i would like to try this on cuz its rusty on the inside, should i just fill it up, and put it in a small tub of water also?, any recomendations would help

the black is a metal oxide. i've heard coke (as in the drink) will remove it.

the black on the metal is just a film thats left over. It wipes off.

Good healthy looking metal shouldnt look black.

2 amps isn't very much, don't think you would even notice. Wouldn't be any different than charging a battery for a couple days.
