Try paying attention to the wrist/hand more on your bong sao. It can be more important than the elbow. "Sao" is more often translated as hand than arm anyway, so try giving that your focus and see how it works (fingers pointing into the center target, palm NOT facing down at all).
Also, keep working on the center with your tan. It might seem pointless now, but the real benefit of centerline comes with forward movement (not with standing in place!) in chi sao.
