Completely different from the cut he did in the nineties where he flipflopped between hoity-toity and down home swamp. He had no sense of direction. On this one he's settled for imitation hillbilly in a voice that shows too many years of abuse. We can speculate whether Elvis would have retired before his voice disintegrated but I'm sure he'd never have used words like "thar" and "drame" in this song.
