thanks for posting...i was an AdeN coed back in 1978-81...its good to see the four pillars of AdeN...i remember those days...i love the break time..with barkadas at the student's lounge...Mrs. Regis was my Biology teacher and Father Bonafe my Spanish teacher(the only two i can remember)...wish I'd pay more attention in Spanish class before...all I remember is "Padre Nuestro" Our Father...miss the Philippines so bad! musta na lang sa gabos!
back in 1978, i was in fourth year high AdeNU. Maybe we've been seeing each other but never minded. People come and go and they take each other for granted. i also remember Father Bonafe where he would tell us, "Ang kamot, kamot sana." Mrs. Regis was also a former teacher of mine in Natural Science 2 (Biology). Although, my teacher in Spanish was Mr. Sambo, (how luckier I would think I was) [hahaha]. Mr. Sambo would allow us to always have a Spanish dictionary whenever we would take exams.
wow...we probably used to see each other.AdeN back then was strictly for boys only and females were allowed as coed in college, and i remember the highschool boys were "pogi" CSI girls were crazy about them. i know mr. sambo, yes u were lucky. father bonafe used to call someone at random to lead the prayer as soon as he comes in the class, that's why i tried my hardest to memorize the our father.
mrs regis was my biology teacher and we went to Kulapnitan cave in Libmanan for a field trip. mind you we were allowed to bring a boyfriend so we have someone to hold on to because the cave was dark and scarry and there were lots of bats! my bf didn't come with me...so i dumped him, lol! miss those days...
Mrs. Regis was my Natural Science 1 teacher (Physical Science). Miss Perez (I forgot what her family name now is) was my Natural Science 2 teacher. Poor boyfriend of yours... He must have cried a lot (hahaha)...
Maybe I'll post more Ateneo scenes if I have time. Ateneo de Naga University is much much improved nowadays with its Dolan Hall, Obrien Library, covered court, etc., just to mention a few. High school has been transferred to Pacol with co-ed classes. If you have time, visit Ateneo again
i will thanks...am a school teacher now here in the US. the last time i was home was 2 years ago when my mom died of cancer. i miss the phil. so much and my family there. i have a couple of nephews there in AdeN and yes they've told me about the school and how cool it is now.
