  • these guys do not like old cars!

  • should of stuck um on ebay an got loads of money

  • CHRISTINE?

  • They need to save alot of cars in there like the 57-58 plymouths as there are getting rare!

  • WHY DIDN'T WENDY HAVE AN ESTATE SALE, SHE WOULD HAVE MADE MORE MONEY THAN SCRAP IRON

  • I do not know, but agree she should have...

  • This is so sad

whats up with the untouched nova at 1:05

  • I believe that was an Opel or other European make - gone now...

  • I almost cried

  • well im sick now

  • i will neverunderstand the route of mans evils killing inocent cars like dogs!

  • i must cry

  • Is see my mom's 1961 Plymouth 2nd down from the top of the heap at .44

  • The lower front grille still looks good. Vintage cars just don´t deserve to get crushed. Mindless idiots!

  • scary place..

  • knowing christine, she'll be back.

  • I see in the junk at least 2 Chevrolet Convair :-(

  • All of these vehicles at one time were somebody's pride and joy.

  • Our bombastically disposable society at work...

  • @charger19691 Not really if there here. If they loved em' so much why are they here?

  • What a sad sight, I think I can hear you weeping behind the camera!

Seriously though, were they selling the land and needed to get them out of the way like now or what? They could hire some kids cheap from the local employment agency and send them out there with some tools and pick every single part off those cars and make a lot of money,

I've always been surprised at the quality of some parts on old cars in the yards are, sometimes they are darn near perfect, and nothing fits like OEM!

  • EPA and fastest route after owner passed.

  • sooo sad

  • a beautiful opel kadett coupé at 1:10 min!!!!!!

  • What a waste of heritage and history..... it pisses me off...

  • What a gut wrenching sight.. Crush them yes, but only after every useable part has been removed and the body is a total loss.. There is someone looking for parts for EVERY car in that pile right now!!!

  • A part of my soul died..

  • That is a really sad sight.

  • The lower grill and some other stuff of the 57 could be saved. That´s a shame to crush a classic no matter what shape.

  • SaveOldCars!

  • @SaveOldCars lets restore together! :)

  • They sound like a bunch of snobby dicks " Do not ask to come in answer is no! " Losers

  • Its funny the scrap merchants would have made alot more $ if they had advertised these cars then simply junking them.

  • 57 Plymouth: :O Why am i going to the crusher Corvair: SHUT UP Plymouth New Yorker: Yeah i hate going to the crusher 57 Plymouth: ill start my beat up 383 bb V8 and ill drive off on all 4 tyres. News Chopper 3: O.o a 57 Plymouth is driving out of a junkyard SAVE OLD CARZ

  • 0:23 - the blue '58 NewYorker has a double curved windshield - dare not think it might still have been good!

    sic transit gloria mundi

    (so passes world's glory)

1:19 - 'Weird Vision Bar' Beer & Baccardi at bargains!

2:09 - uh this is not a scrap yard but a monument of industrial decay? (haven't seen part 2 yet)

2:21 - see, they aren't so bad after all: tell you before on neat paint sign - instead of letting the dogs take care.

  • the person who owns this place is an idiot. he's on a gold mine right now. even in the condition some are in there still worth a ton of money. i would love to own one of these :,(

  • Where's the owner live? I'm gonna go kick his ass.

  • i kept my old school classic, i told the guy that that i bought it from that id fix it up and respect it, guess nobody knows what that is anymore,,, even tho i sent it to the junkyard twice and bought it back both times, ive payed for it more times than ive owned it, or fixed it... but its gettin a royal make over now..........everybody remember that when you see people trashin the real cars...

  • were was this at ?

  • Near Merced, CA.

  • NOoooooooo.......!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish there was a charity for this kind of thing... sorting out old cars for either protection or restoration.... If i won the lottery what id do is set up this charity and it would do nothing but restore sad cars and sell them on to enthusiatic owners who will look after them. All profits going back into getting and restoring yet more of them.

  • Once they were someone's pride and joy.

  • sad. the Auschwitz for cars.

  • bloody shame. more history lost.

  • such a goddamned shame. more history destroyed for the almighty dollar.

  • what kind of dumb ass sells all that for scrap

the price of old carsgot up a littil bit more everytime one gets scraped

  • why, why why why why why would they hurt the camaro :''''''''(((((. im going to cry

  • I feel sadness and emptiness after watching this video. No kidding.

  • very very hard to see that....

  • them cars probly been for a long time

  • I just died a bit inside...

  • That is a dreadful shame for those automobiles.

  • i almost cried when i saw the corvair at 0:45 i love those cars, even though i cant afford one

  • Look! A Corvair in its natural habitat! :D

  • 1961 Plymouth on top of the Corvair...0:45

I think I'm gonna be sick.

  • It was much worse in person...

    VM

  • I'm a greenie, and own a '58 Delray and won't crush it. The clunkers laws are put there by the automakers so that you buy a new car and it helps big oil too. You have a big engine, just drive sensibly and keep it properly tuned up.

  • SCREW the green planet!!!!!! They should take each & every one of these damn environmMENTAList & place one in every car during the crush, frigin idots!

BTW, is the the RI yard, because the same thing was happening there, it was loaded with these cars.

  • I have been there as well. The owner was very old and he would have never let crush all these cars. He collected them through years and years. But the authorities are again the bad guys. This yard had to turn into green again. They don't give shit about the value and history of what have been crushed. Keep on voting "green"and finally all old cars still restorable or good for parts will end up within notime as scrap.

  • this is a part of history wasted.

  • CRAZY!

  • this is sick!

  • Sad video but its true to see with your own eyes, i say lets put the boss's car in the crusher :)

  • Damn, this is just saddening...........

  • wow i cant belive it someone would be stupid enought to scrap these cars when there is so many auto shops looking to restore cars now these days thanks to the tv shows even a family wants to restore and spend time on it its all about pride and making people happy old cars make people happy trust me i own a few!!!!!!

  • Ditto...

  • I had the pleasure of driving through this yard over a year ago. The old lady the currently has it has no idea what she has. She had to call another guy who sells on ebay (user ID "carfinds") and ask him what she should charge me for the parts I wanted. Needless to say the yard was pretty well picked through when I was there. But I still made some damn good money on ebay with what I was lucky enough to purchase. I would not mind a second run at the yard now however.

  • Bah, such a shame to see old cars get crushed. Why can't they crush those crappy rice runners instead? :P

  • people who squash these "prized museum collectables" now are to be honest morons. theyre worth more now in parts and restores then scrap. fact.

not all are restorable though, but still have parts. atleast remove parts before squashing. as you can tell i dont like seeing old cars gone.

  • @lukeslandspeeder Exactly! What a waste of good parts! Looks like those crushing guys are lazy a--es who dont bother to get off their big fat b-tts to strip the cars before crushing them!

  • why cant they crush those tuners

  • oh my god 1:49 please tell me that's not a squished camaro :'(

  • I think it is >=|

  • woohoo xD im restoring a 1961 plymouth sovoy (fury) maybe? lol

  • wow! these are where they go! SAVE THE CARS! KEEP LIVING THE OLD DAYS IN year 2020!

  • I will :)

  • like the song goes...God dam shame about it!

  • is that a early 60's Dart/Vliant on top of one of the piles?

  • I believe it was :(

  • You know you could easily strip these cars and part them out on ebay, craigslist. auto trader and make alot more than just scrappin them.

  • They should have, as well as sell whole...

  • If only stupidity hurt!

  • I love your statement - the best I have received on all of my videos so far!!! Short but sweet. - It would be an excellent naturally occuring determent for practicing any and all types of ignorance... And I would add arrogance and jealousy as self-pain inducers as well.

    VM

  • Destruction without foresight should be a damn felony.

Good luck with your 57 Mopar ! One of the best designed cars ever made !

  • I agree...

  • That sucks!! I saw 5 CORVAIRS in that pile!! One of them appeared to be wearing Spyder emblems! Hopefully all the eng and turbo stuff were saved!! So sad to see all these rust free classics getting crushed.

  • nooooooooooooo god bless her

  • wow impending fate is a bitch

  • Wow I know this yard in Mariposa Ca where I once lived

  • Gone now...:((

  • i bet the white 4-door car at 1:07 still runs. and i saw a corvair!

  • Could have, but they are gone now:(((

    VM

  • THE IDIOTS. why?

  • Progress - for some:{

  • thats a shame they are crusing those cars, you can make a crap load of money selling those to restoration shops and colectors

  • :'(

  • The closing of an place and time in history -

  • whats going on with the 56 plymouth 2 door in the very first part of the video? i need parts for my 56 2 door

  • Every thing in that pile is now gone...
