  • if only the guardian stood by their advertising campaigns.

  • Except guardian is biased as fuck

  • I loved this advert when it first appeared and still enjoy watching it now.

The introduction may have missed the point of the first angle. I think the idea is that he sees the car coming and then runs away from it, maybe we are to think it is an unmarked police car.

  • The Guardian is the only british paper i trust.

  • @Hazylynx Looks more like an advert for an "honest" newspaper giving you the "full story"

  • It is not only facts but also points of view that counts when you are building the full picture of something. Great idea.

  • @saeho90 You mean: 'Opinions away from facts' right?

  • i like this

  • I swear this guy sounds like Professor Layton.

  • @Emblematicify I swear...This comment reminds me of a puzzle game

  • THE GUARDIAN - The newspaper that consideres everyone who disagrees with them to be a bigot.

  • @RideoftheHerlathing you'll find that with every paper, and if you don't think so then you are simply wrong.

  • wow, insane commercial

  • is there anymore of these ?

  • Great commercial. Too bad that the Guardian only gives you the corporate-controlled Soros/Bilderberger/Council on Foreign Relations/globalist point of view.

  • one of the best commecials ive ever seen...

if i would read papers in english, i would read the guardian! ;-)

    gruß & cheers.

  • @gooble69 because it's a commercial

  • @gooble69 You're sort of contradicting yourself. The business guy wasn't paying attention, the skinhead was and noticed what was obviously going to happen.

  • @gooble69 simple, the guy was walking along reading a newspaper. This ad is really a PSA about how deadly newspapers are.

  • Both simple & profound. Philosophical & stunningly crystal clear. Love it!

  • should be on your reel

  • We live in a world where people are full of perceptions created by the world of media, however false. It's a sad fact that the truth is often ignored or misrepresented because it is just not newsworthy.

  • lol funny to hear this coming from the guardian, that rag is as biased as any other.

  • Why can't commercials be as genious today as they were 20 years ago?

  • I noticed today the Guardian didn't carry a front page headline about the Criminal neglect at the

    Stafford 'Third World' NHS hospital.

These guardian liebour journalist pigs didn't want their eye brow liebour voting readers to come face to face with the consequences of their action of voting liebour.

Over 1200 people died because of liebour and the liebour voter.

The BLOOD is on every liebour voters hands.

    They are responsible.

    Liebour voters KILLED baby P.

    Especially the Haringey ones!.

  • @blastarrbollaxIII

well done, you've gone and won us all over with your reasoned and well though out argument.

  • The Guardian is yellow Journalism through and through.

  • its guardian trying to say that they give the whole, unbiast story, and let you decide who was right/wrong

  • Suggestive viewpoints

  • he should have given him a good kicking, taken the bag with the money in, thrown him under the falling pallette carrying the bricks and then scappered.

  • rofl, yep!

  • Yeah, that would have been an efficient use of his time - two birds with the one stone.

  • ooops . . . then there's the truth

  • romeo the rottie

there's at least two sides to every story . . . . . and the there's the truth

    peace

  • i remember this ad from early/mid 80's ? and mention it every now + then in passing in conversation. i thought i was the only person in the world who remembered it but then thought *search yt*

life's all about perspectives, eh ?

  • ye i thought it was we had 2 study it in media studies!!

  • the poppiholla chicane video was based on this add

  • This is so amazing, one of the best!

  • there's 2 sides to every story then there's the truth

  • .Exelente ! ; gracias ,desde argentina....

  • Well done!!!!

  • Brilliant.

  • how odd is that !!!!! i was thinking of this advert just the other day.. then found it with a Stumble.. a classic

  • thats my homework :D .. to write an over-voice for these three scenes ^^

  • Nice:)

  • God damn. human kinds best and worsts traits shown through the filters of our best and worst traits. I fucken love people man. were great animals...........

  • RIP John Webster - what a legend

  • Here here!

  • So simple but yet so effective...

All you have to do is click post comment and then people from all over the world can see what you have to say!!

  • Actually i think you'll find you have to write the comment first :-D but close enough

  • Nice:)

  • what a brilliant idea for a newspaper advert;

saying they keep facts away from opinions...

  • @saeho90

I don't know many people who would buy a newspaper that brings just the facts. Some brain product is good too.

  • An informed citizenry puts an end to fear mongering. How refreshing in an era of political manipulation and the decline of reason. This antique is as relevant today as it was when it was made.

  • I watched this in History and thought it was really interesting. Rated it a 5 =).

  • I too would like to find the printed poster version. Anyone know where I can find one?

  • See the South Central cartel Clowned after viewing this...

  • Great ad, decent paper.

  • Great ad, decent paper.

  • That's looking into perspective, analysing and not saying skinheads are nazis, scum, cold ass thugs or other shit like that. No point in judging by the look. Great ad.

SKINHEADS - NEITHER RED, NOR RACIST.

  • cool!

  • This is the first example used in Jon Steel's 'Truth, Lies and Advertising: The Art of Account Planning' book. Cheers for adding it!

  • I think we can see the true people the ones who wont put up with media steryotyping

  • this is one of the best adverts I have ever seen - I remember that there was a poster campaign as well - does anyone know where I can get a copy??

  • My RE teach has wanted to show us this for ages! Thx!

  • Should be required viewing in sociology/citezenship classes.

  • Excellent. I've been looking for this ad for ages. Thank you!

  • me too, thnx! Hallelujah
