Is the album "Songbird" the Live at Pearls solo gig, of which some black and white footage was shown here in this documentary?
I always assumed it's more or less the same songs she did live, but recorded in a studio for the "Songbird" album. Please enlighten me, and thanks for uploading.
I live in Maryland just a few miles from her home of Bowie, Maryland. I am the same age as her and ran around the same clubs as her. I remember hearing her name years ago in the late 80's and 90's but never got to hear her sing until after her death. Her voice was special and I will never forget her. RIP Eva
What an astonishing voice she had, and what a sweet and humble person she seemed to have been. How sad she wasn't really "discovered" until after she was gone, and how ludicrous that so many singers, with far less ability to touch listeners emotionally, have "made it" so big.
I only discovered her this year when the WWE paid tribute to the wrestlers who had died only to find out that she to was gone..A haunting voice that touched every nerve in my body and soul. She was so remarkable that I think God may have cried when he her sing..RIP Eva.
I sit her crying like a baby and being both thankful to have discovered her, and sad for having lost her. She had the voice of an angel no doubt. Bless you Eva, and thank you for sharing your voice with the rest of us.
My God, why only now have i known you? i missed those years which i should hve spent listening to you.But Im still glad, the world had you! Thanks, heaps YOUTUBE.
I just wish that she was still with us today, making this world a better place. And I wish to had a chance to talk to her about life, music and the other things.Sorry for my poor english, but I think you understand what i mean...
It is a sad one, but her life was not. She had a loving and devoted family and she had her Music and Art. We, are lucky to have her Voice. God and the Angels will have another great member of their choir. Bless you Eva Cassidy
I have one very fuzzy feeling heart :)

@DaVooz , all I can tell you is what I know. I don't believe any video exists of Eva's Live at Pearl's performances.

@Joner888 Okay, sorry for the confusion. The b/w footage is of her Live at Blues Alley with band performance probably then.

Just wondered: did the person who filmed that gig ever got the credit for it? For it is the only live footage known and a now legendary performance.

I just feel so sorry for her parents. Especially her mother. Such a touching story.
