B/c this is eventing. These horses can clear twice that height. But they just did a 2-4 mile XC course yesterday. They are pretty tired. Plus, this was in 2000. In eventing, they have made the stadium jumps bigger.
Yes,, it was the last of the he old "full format Olympic events so, it was a long way around on the second day;They went further than a triple Crown horse at a higher speed , and jumped, too!

they all have so many poles down!!!! the course is probs about the height of an intermediate course now, not a CCI***!!!
It was tiny, I could have probs jumped most of that course.

in 2000 it was more than 4 miles. all in all it was over 10 miles. without stepplechase and phase a and c it is around 4 miles.
