According to Wikipedia, Jones saw Disney's Trick or Treat, starring Donald and the Nephews, and fell in love with the voice characterization by June Foray of Disney's Witch Hazel. He then made this, which is much more sophisticated than the excellent Disney. So I guess Prince Charming showing up for Snow White, in the wrong cartoon, was a tip of the hat to Disney. Disney made great cartoons, with great characters, and so did Chuck, but Jones understood the medium itself, as medium, far better.

Because kids were reading the story for decades and pronouncing it "Han-sell" instead of the correct "Hahn-zel".

It was funny because German's didn't rise-up and try to destroy Hitler, their leader, so, millions of innocent people were tortured and murdered.

Any chance to loathe and ridicule Germans was considered patriotic, including mocking their accents.

"Loony Tunes" were NOT for just children.

They were shown in theaters before the movie.
