Actually it's pretty amazing how rare HIV is in the porn industry. If you think of the number of performers, how many scenes they do per year and the number of other performers they all work with, it's quite astounding there have only been a small handful of cases. It shows that regular HIV testing is more effective than condoms for prevention.

@CyborgClown That would help but remember...that's only to prevent the spread. What is needed is the prevention of obtaining a disease...as you might know condoms aren't 100%, but with the combination of the to two...keeps things safe and fun.

Having or watching safe sex doesn't turn me off, it makes it more realistic when you have multiple partners. There are those who don't give a shit about the performers or themselves. It's up to the porn stars to require condoms and change the industry.

They get tested before each movie. That means, for most of them, they get tested about once/week. Sometimes twice/week. That's why there's only 5 or 6 cases of HIV infection in the industry in the 30+ years since HIV came out. 10's of thousands of performers doing hundreds and hundreds of thousands of sex scenes over 3 decades and only a tiny handful of infections. Their rate of infection is actually less than the general public.
